Established in 1893, Writtle University College is a leading provider of land-based, animal, environmental, design, and sports education. Having achieved University College status in 2016, we are an ambitious institution with a personal approach. Writtle also provides business, event, and conference facilities for those looking to hire an external venue for corporate events and wedding venues, and private functions. Writtle is one of the oldest providers of specialist education in the UK and offers a range of land-based, environmental, animal, design, and sports courses at various academic study levels, including Postgraduate, Undergraduate, Further Education, Short Courses, and Apprenticeships. We also provide students with the option of being able to study specific courses on a part-time basis. Writtle has a history of achieving excellence and being recognized as a market leader. We have award-winning alumni that have gone on to become leaders in their industry. Our Horticulture and Floristry departments have enjoyed success at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, Chelsea Garden Show, and the Ideal Young Gardeners competition.
