UW-Stevens Point provides a clinical doctoral program in audiology and professional doctoral programs in select areas of strength at the master's level. Professional advisers work with students in five Academic and Career Advising Centers (ACAC) – one in each of the five colleges. New students are assigned to a professional adviser in the college ACAC of their intended major from their first orientation session until they have completed three semesters. Undecided students work with professional advisers in the University College ACAC until they are ready to declare. Students then work closely with faculty in their major while still having access to professional advisers and many career development opportunities, resume and cover letter reviews, and job search strategies. To be in the University Honors Program is to join a distinguished group of students and faculty, and staff on campus to create a unique undergraduate educational opportunity and prepare you for the next step in your education or career development. Grounded in the General Education Program at UW-Stevens Point, the University Honors curriculum is not merely a collection of requirements that one needs to check off a list. It is an intellectual framework designed to ensure that graduates from UWSP have the tools that are essential for success.
