  1. Walmley Infant School is a three-form entry school catering from three years of age in our Nursery class through to seven years of age in Year 2. We are committed to providing every child with the best possible educational experience with a broad and balanced curriculum. We make the time our children spend with us both creative and fulfilling in their learning journey. In everything, we do we have high expectations for all our learners. We believe that the partnership between parents/carers and the school is vital and actively encourages the community to become involved in the life of the school. At Walmley Infant School we believe in enhancing children’s knowledge and skills through the use of technology. At the forefront of our teaching and learning, the children’s safety whilst using technology is highly important. We teach the children to have an increased awareness of E-safety. The children are taught to take responsibility in keeping themselves safe whilst online both at school and at home. The internet is a wonderful resource to search for information, obtain pictures, talk to people from anywhere in the world and play games online. We can also share details and pictures with our families and friends and upload them instantly from any device (Desktop PC, Laptop, Tablet, or Mobile Phone). Upholding the traditions of British Values has always been part of our life and learning at Walmley Infant School. These values are reinforced throughout the school every day, in every class through our day-to-day routines and our curriculum. For example, democracy is a fundamental value in our ethos. The children vote for school councilors and librarians. The children who put themselves forward for these positions of responsibility are appointed as representatives of their class so that all children have the freedom to express their opinions and their voices can be heard, this is acknowledged and respected by adults.
