Utena University of Applied Sciences is a modern, student-oriented state higher education institution offering higher college studies directed towards practical activity, applied researches, and professional activities. Upon completing the study, the graduates are awarded the Professional Bachelor's qualification degree, higher education diploma, and Diploma Supplement. The excellent cooperation between higher education institutions in Great Britain, Bulgaria, and Latvia provides students with the opportunity to graduate with two or three degrees. The cooperation between institutions allows the students to continue their studies in Master programs. Today the institution offers 21 study programs, and 9 of them are based on a modular study system with Problem- Based Learning approach. The national and international experts accredit study programs. Theoretical knowledge and practical skills are transferred to the students by excellent professors, associated professors, and professionals-practitioners who have acquired deep theoretical and practical experience. Very often, some of the subjects are taught by guest lecturers from the most prestigious European universities. The career-focused studies are executed under the demand of the worldwide labor market. Internships are an integral part of education. Internalization is one of the most critical priorities of the institution, and over the years, we have built an extensive network of academic partners and enterprises from around the world. Our institution welcomes full-time students from Armenia, Latvia, Nigeria, Nepal, Ukraine, Turkey, and other countries. Students work and study in a modern environment with well- equipped computer labs and wireless Internet connection everywhere in the buildings. We have excellent material resources, including the advanced conference and educational halls, the Centre of E-Learning, a library with access to leading e-libraries and databases. Students have the right conditions for self-expression. They are actively involved in cultural and sports activities. The mission of the College – to educate and train professionals of various areas possessing higher college education, meeting the demands of the regional, national and European labor markets and to create conditions for continuous education by educating person's abilities to learn continuously and act under the conditions of knowledge society being formed. Due to the increasing number of students, only places in shared rooms are offered. Two or three students share rooms. International students must pay for the accommodation in advance for the entire semester at their arrival or during the introductory week. All the rooms have free access to the Internet. Two rooms mostly share bathroom facilities. There is one everyday use kitchen. Students are obliged to clean up and keep the order in the kitchen and rooms by themselves. A laundry room is also available for international students without extra charge. For Erasmus + exchange Students, the reservation of a place at the "Student house" is made through the International Relations Department. Students have to fill in the Accommodation application form. International degree-seeking students apply for a place at the "Student house" by filling a relevant application form. At the arrival, international students allocated a place at the "Student house" must sign an Agreement on Accommodation in Student House.
