- Founded in 1968 and independently managed since January 1st, 2012, the University of Toulon (UTLN) places its attractiveness at the core of its long-term strategic plan. Well-established throughout the region, the University of Toulon works closely with the region's social and economic institutions to tailor its academic programs and research activities to their needs. The University of Toulon is an interdisciplinary institution with five campuses. The University offers a hundred different degrees (excluding medical school) and operates 15 Research Units. Situated in the Var region's heart for over 40 years, the University of Toulon welcomes 9,000 students per year, including 1,200 international students. The on-campus libraries provide students with the necessary facilities to work in a pleasant and studious environment. In each of the five libraries found on campus, students can study in comfortable reading rooms or the multimedia area and work in groups in designated meeting rooms. Students have access to over 100,000 books, general and specialized magazines, Wi-Fi access, and can seek our information specialists' assistance. Even when the libraries are closed, students have access to the computerized catalog, past exam papers, research publications, and electronic books and magazines via the library's website. Because a library is also a place to unwind, you can take out DVD's or Comic Books or relax at the Café or the in the Discovery area. Whether welcoming international students or guest lecturers or exporting a degree program, the University of Toulon expands its international recognition.
