Aim of Tanta University: To develop the infrastructure To develop the institutional capability To achieve a distinguished teaching staff member and a distinguished graduate To take part in the comprehensive development of society To increase the financial capabilities Based on Egypt's vision 2030 and the University's interest in developing homeland by promising youth and their innovative thought, Tanta University has drawn up its vision and mission that cope with its history as the fifth Egyptian University, which has been established since 1972. The University receives about one hundred thousand students annually in various specializations of University faculties that are 13 faculties and a technical institute. The University uses modern education methods, e-learning, and distance learning to prepare a creative generation that is distinguished educationally and cognitively with remarkable skills enabling it to compete in the labor market. The University is characterized by several new programs based on environmental sciences offered to Bachelor's and postgraduate students and other programs for incoming students whom the University is honored to receive on an annual basis. The University believes in the significance of cultural exchange with Arab and foreign universities, Nile Valley countries, and bodies specialized in science and technology transfer; therefore, the University signed many scientific and cultural agreements to know about the latest scientific findings in advanced countries. Tanta University had to have an active role in social participation and the surrounding environment as it is located in the middle of Delta governorates through organizing medical convoys, providing consultations and environmental services, and holding many scientific and environmental conferences to be knowledgeable about the latest scientific findings in different fields and how to apply them and to find practical solutions to environmental problems. Moreover, University hospitals offer their medical services to more than two hundred thousand patients annually from Delta governorates, particularly after the inauguration of Tanta University International Educational Hospital equipped at the highest level of medical devices and instruments.
