      1. Established in 1977 the Sultan’s School provides a high-quality education that allows our students to enter the world’s leading universities. Our outstanding facilities, together with a highly professional teaching staff means we are proud of our reputation as one of the leading bilingual schools in the region. The Sultan’s School exists to help young men and women to acquire those ethical and intellectual qualities that are necessary for leadership in the rapidly changing world of Oman. While the focus is upon developing these qualities in Omani citizens, qualified students from other Arab countries are welcome. The educational program will endeavor to produce versatile leaders who are international in their perspective. The school will be preparatory since it is assumed that most graduates will attend a university. The total school program will encourage each student to become a self-directed individual who assumes responsibility for his or her actions. Within the instructional program, there must be a delicate balance between maintaining standards and offering individual programs to meet the varying abilities, learning styles, and previous achievements of each student. Every attempt will be made to identify ability and nourish its development. The Sultan’s School is a co-educational school offering a bilingual Arabic-English holistic education from early childhood to pre-university. The school seeks to provide a broad and balanced education of the highest quality, which reflects and strengthens the Omani and Islamic culture whilst encouraging an international perspective and developing critical, creative thinking in its students. We are justifiably proud of the results our students have gained over the last four decades but we believe education is more than just test scores and examination results. Most of our students join the school in Kindergarten and throughout their 14-year‘ journey’, they have the chance to experience so much more than just what happens in the classroom, through our extensive and enviable extra-curricular and sports program, that is complemented in Years 12 and 13 by an exciting CAS Programme. Having been blessed with such a large campus, we have been able to expand and develop our facilities as the need arises. Today, our students and teachers have access to outstanding facilities that are the envy of many schools. Nevertheless, we are aware that to stay at the forefront of education in the region we need to continue to renew, upgrade and expand our facilities. Most recently, we have invested heavily in renovating and expanding our library, developing a specialist study center for our IB students, remodeled several primary classrooms, and have added more accommodation for the teachers and their families. We seek to encourage every child to make the very best use of their God-given abilities and talents, both within and beyond the curriculum. We, therefore, prize excellence not only in academic subjects but also in the arts and sport. Through laying the firmest of foundations in all aspects of education our children will grow into confident and happy students, who move on to secondary school with the broadest range of skills, and enthusiasm for their studies, and the determination to achieve to the very highest level. This is an exciting prospect and we look forward to working with you to make these aspirations a reality for your child. View full school
