Anna Galin has been responsible for coordinating the university's refugee activities since the autumn of 2016 and says that she has met great enthusiasm. One of the first things I did was to initiate a network for refugee issues at the university. After just a few weeks, almost 50 people had expressed an interest in the network, and most of them had a project or initiative linked to refugee issues that they wanted to discuss. Södertörn University is also providing internships for newly-arrived refugees, in both academia and administration. The aim is to contribute networks and vocational Swedish, intending to help refugees enter the Swedish labor market.
