Our curriculum- a combination of both National and Creative Curricula- opens up a new world of wonder and excitement to inspire and stretch the young minds and lay the foundation for later learning. Ours is a place where your child can grow in every facet of the multiple intelligence theory. We promote learning which focuses on their interests, strengths, and needs by developing psychomotor skills, spatial abilities, creativity, visual intelligence, literacy, and numeracy while fostering their emotional and mental growth. Children also enjoy a range of well-planned and interesting group-learning experiences that incorporate science and the arts. These help increase the student’s awareness of the world around them, promote critical thinking skills, boost their talents, and offer them an excellent head start with the most memorable preschool years. Above everything, we consider our preschool to be an extension of your child’s family. Hence, we actively work toward building a trusted partnership with parents through clear lines of communication, encouraging parental involvement in school activities, and creating a culture of balance between home and school. The first year of primary school is a milestone in the lives of children. It is a time when they move forward towards independence in a new setting. With a stimulating environment, we aim to make this transition as smooth and exciting as possible to support their growth and learning. Academically, we use both the National Curriculum and the Cambridge International Program that widely provide an interesting and challenging atmosphere to facilitate intellectual maturity, a love for lifelong learning, and excellence. We achieve this by applying teaching methods and techniques which are based on logical development, professional experience, a loving and warm character, and a genuine interest in educating young children. Each year, our sixth graders not only join the national government examinations but also take part in the Cambridge Checkpoint Examinations. We also ensure that our students will achieve their full potential as individuals, as members of their family and the broader community through our after-school programs which help them develop a sense of self, positive self-image, growing sense of individuality, and responsible citizenship in preparation for their teenage years ahead. Sensitive to the academic, physical, emotional, and social needs of an adolescent, our junior high school department offers a favorable environment that helps students achieve their best persona in one of the most challenging phases of their lives. Combining knowledge enrichment, character building, and strengthening of faith, students are guided to become persons of intellect, good behavior, and belief. Culture, values, and traditions are integrated into the curriculum and into the daily routines of the school to meet individual needs and interests in a safe and caring experience that enables them to excel scholastically as reflected in their excellent standing in the annual National Examinations. 3. Sekolah Bogor Raya is Bogor’s leading “National Plus” school. Founded in 1995, we provide both locally and internationally accredited curricula in a green and pleasant environment in the picturesque Bogor Lakeside residential complex, near the main Bogor Toll exit. Sekolah Bogor Raya is a multi-faith school with students from many different nationalities and backgrounds. Our school runs from Playgroup up to Senior High School and our students come mostly from the Bogor, Sentul, and Cibubur areas. Bus service is available to and from most locations. We strive to provide holistic education that produces compassionate young men and women, free of prejudice, proud of their identities, their cultures, and their heritage, and at the same time respectful of all faiths and appreciative of world cultures. We hope by supporting, facilitating, and exposing our students to a wide range of experiences that we produce students who are equipped with the skills needed to learn independently and problem solve using both critical thinking and creativity. At Sekolah Bogor Raya we encourage curiosity above all else. The spark of enthusiasm you see in a student's eyes from having some control over the direction of their learning is something which we feel is essential for students to learn effectively. Technological expertise in terms of I.T skills is encouraged and supported so that our graduates can utilize both the current and future technology that they will be using to advance their careers. We believe that in a digital world overflowing with information, critical thinking is vital to being able to research and differentiate between useful information and data and that which is not valid and in some cases untrue. We ensure our students look at issues from multiple perspectives. This allows the students to think about both sides of every given situation. It also allows them to look at issues through both local and international lenses. This helps them understand that everyone brings different opinions and perspectives to a situation and that those opinions may vary and that is fine. They learn to listen to varying opinions and understand that we can learn something from everyone we meet. This enables them to enter the world with both the listening and communication skills necessary to interact with people and gain the most from every person they meet. We support students through our program to build their confidence one step at a time. These steps sometimes end in a fall but learning how to accept not succeeding builds resilience and this is a characteristic everyone must gain to bounce back when things don’t go our way. We believe our graduating students will be capable global citizens who are open-minded and able to appreciate the opinions of others no matter what their nationality, ethnicity, or religion may be. 4. Sekolah Cita Buana will be the leading provider in Indonesia of high-quality and divergent education pathways for students of diverse backgrounds and capabilities. We will exemplify equal opportunity for all students to reach their full potential for maximum engagement in an emerging global community. We, the students, parents, and teachers of Sekolah Cita Buana, work together in bilingual harmony, believe in equity, and strive for excellence in all we do to deliver high-quality education. We participate in the global community in the spirit of Pancasila (Indonesian National Philosophy). "Unity in Diversity" The learning community of Sekolah Cita Buana provides its students with a cohesive educational foundation. We believe that a learning environment that encourages cooperative endeavor and strives for individual excellence will best prepare students to meet the challenges of an emerging global community. Sekolah Cita Buana has undertaken a long journey with all the accomplishments and challenges it has faced. SCB was established in 1995 in South Jakarta with only 7 students. The school was opened when a group of parents and educators gathered to find alternative options for education that were available in Jakarta at that time. The sole purpose was to create a new schooling system that allows children to grow to their full potential, to have awareness of the environment and learn about Indonesian cultures, and at the same time able to think globally and be bilingual in both Indonesian and English. Therefore, SCB applies two curriculums simultaneously, the Indonesian national curriculum enriched with international curriculums. Since 2001, SCB has seen 150 students graduate, who has since carried on to higher education, mostly abroad such as in Australia, the UK, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and some choose to continue their education in states and private universities here in Indonesia. SCB has grown through this 20-year journey in midst of competition with similar schools up to this point. The success of SCB in being able to grow exponentially from year to year is a positive result that is marked by the significant increase of students under our care which has reached 540 students. Not to mention SCB graduates that are spread out in universities all around the world including several named universities in Indonesia in which serves as an indicator for the competitive educational quality of SCB. Alas, all the success and accomplishments will not be with us if it not for the three pillars of education, parents, students, and teachers that have collaborated and have worked with each other for the goals that we all dream of. And with that, we realize that the SCB is the result of a learning process from the previous SCB that has helped us grow exponentially to be a learning school. SCB means “ideal world” and we hope that all of our students will go on to contribute to the betterment of mankind. View full school

  7. SBP has carried on raising children who are socially aware of the needs of others. As part of thanksgiving, SBP students equally played an active role in raising a huge amount to construct a house for a poor family in cooperation with Habitat for Humanity. We have overwhelmingly witnessed how they raised funds by doing odd jobs, bringing old clothes to sell in the garage sale and running game booths, and selling various merchandise. SBP students have likewise visited different orphanages to socialize and bring gifts to the orphans, do clean-up and painting jobs. Not only that, but they also visited elderly homes and brought donations to the old folks. As part of giving back to the community, SBP has organized a Futsal Cup where students from neighboring local schools came together at SBP and vied for the much-coveted Futsal Cup trophy. It was at that time of the year when local school children flocked to SBP ground and witnessed the adrenaline-packed competition among schools. In between, there have been various school activities where children went out of school and experienced practical learning. Sports and Adventure Dept. has brought our students to places where they can commune with nature and found time to enjoy the company of their friends. Different subjects have also conducted external learning trips to bring students away from the classroom and experience a meaningful academic journey outside. Academically, SBP has been successful in producing students who showed competence in different subject areas. They have never failed to amaze us with their international achievements. Given all the wonderful things that have been happening to us, I am forever grateful to our academic team who relentlessly aim for academic excellence. Sincerest gratitude goes to the parents, and stakeholders for all their unending support. Sekolah Bina Persada Secondary School is the second ladder of education for our students to pass through to reach their dreams and aspirations. It is in this stage where adjustments and changes have a great deal on each student’s life. High school life is different, they are being encouraged more to build their self-esteem and self—confidence, being pushed harder with their studies, let them discover their full potential in different aspects, guide them to become more independent, and make them realize that their gifted talents are to be used and share with others. SBP helps students to have an AWESOME high school life, with small class size, committed teachers, and a community that encourages, supports and inspires one another to have a great learning experience. Here at SBP, we do not just teach students basic education. Along with our general curriculum, we customized it for educating our students with things beyond classroom learning. We have our Total Teenage Program which includes Leadership Development, Value Programme, Boys/Girls Club, and our TEAM Spirit. In addition to this, we have our community service project that instills the value of generosity or giving back to the community and at the same time teaches students to plan, organize and execute an event. This will give each student vital experience in a wide variety of environments and people. View full school
  8. From a visionary beginning in 1993, Sekolah Pelita Harapan schools continue to develop as Indonesia’s leading Christian schools with a focus on academic excellence, personal growth, and spiritual development. Our vision of True Knowledge, Faith in Christ, and Godly Character sets out our goals for the student: That they may come to understand that all truth emanates from God the Creator and Sustainer and is to be found ultimately in the relationship with Jesus Christ his Son and our savior. The result of the acceptance of these truths is the development of Godly character as those made in the image of God. We aim to achieve this goal by focusing on Christ as the preeminent one in God’s plan of redemption in the world’s restoration from its brokenness. We want our students to be people of influence and action in the world, well equipped to engage positively wherever they may serve. We are grounded in an Evangelical, Reformed theology that seeks Truth wherever it may be found and recognizes that all Truth is God’s. Using the International Baccalaureate and Cambridge programs allows us to develop mature, thinking, students who are committed to life-long learning and can utilize inquiry to search out the truth. Sekolah Pelita Harapan is a group of 5 schools in Jakarta, Indonesia which offers Indonesian citizens and expatriates a quality, international standard of education in which English is the language of instruction. Our schools are variously accredited with bodies such as the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), the International Baccalaureate Organisation and some are Cambridge Examination Centres. Most are also members of the Council of International Schools (CIS). Schools use either the IBO or Cambridge curricula which are employing the world’s best practice pedagogy and curriculum design. SPH schools emphasize internationalism, an Indonesian identity through language and cultural studies as a means of preparing Indonesian citizens for their place in Indonesian society and the world. As a group of Christian schools, we base our approach on a Biblical perspective of the world, and Biblical Studies is a compulsory subject in the curriculum. We aim to equip our students to have a view of the world as created by God and sustained by him. As those made in his image, they are taught to develop the gifts and talents they have been born with and to attain high academic, cultural, sporting, and social skills to become people of influence in the world. Teachers are a mix of expatriates and nationals and are recruited locally and internationally. All teachers must be well qualified and willing to engage in ongoing professional development. Sekolah Pelita Harapan schools offer a mix of the International Baccalaureate and Cambridge programs. In Lippo village and Sentul City, we offer the three IB programs – Primary Years (K-6), Middle Years (7-10), and Diploma (11-12). In Kemang Village and Pluit village, we offer Cambridge to Grade 10 then IBO Diploma at Grades 11-12. In Lippo Cikarang we offer the IB PYP and Diploma programs and then Cambridge in Grades 7-10. This mix is there for various historical reasons but we value both curricular for their focus on inquiry and learning how to learn (IB) and clear learning outcomes (Cambridge). We aim to produce academically strong students, with an international perspective who understand the learning process and are well equipped for life-long learning. Curricular are supplemented with a strong sports and physical education program and a music program with an emphasis on Indonesian instruments and Western classical music. Students also form contemporary bands and choir is a strong element of the program. Mission and service-learning activities are undertaken at every level from Kindergarten upwards to form in students an attitude of service to others and to connect their learning with real-world situations. 9. In 1994, five founding families, at the initiative of Laurel and George Tahija, set out to establish a model Indonesian school. By December 1995, the five families had set up a non-denominational, not-for-profit vehicle now called “Perkumpulan Mandiri” or the Mandiri Association to establish, finance, and manage educational endeavors. One of Perkumpulan Mandiri’s major commitments has been to the Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri (SPM) School that began with a Kindergarten and Grade 1 in July 1996/1997 with a total student body of 25. Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri (SPM) School has grown to offer classes from Kindergarten, Elementary to Junior and Senior High school grades. A unique characteristic of Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri (SPM) is its Student-Centered and Inquiry-Based approach and a balance between character development and academic achievement through The Leader in Me program. One of the famous quotes from the great Greek philosopher and scientist, Aristotle is: "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all".In education, there are 3 domains to be developed, cognitive, psychomotor, and affective or in more friendly terms, knowledge, skills, and attitude. They are the focus of why schools exist and why students come to school. At school students learn things, based on the curriculum decided to be used by the school, they are assessed and scored for every subject they learned. Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri’s vision is to be a principle-centered school that develops academic excellence and lifelong learning skills in an engaged community. Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri educators, using effective teaching and learning strategies that blend the National and Cambridge International curricula, maximize opportunities for students to actualize their potential and become lifelong learners in a safe and inspiring environment. We value integrity and hold ourselves accountable for the quality of our teaching and learning programs and all aspects of the operations that support our commitments. We value self-respect and respect for others to build strong relationships that foster a compassionate community. We engage in lifelong learning to give individuals the capacity for continuous improvement. View full school

  14. Students at Dyatmika can dream big dreams. The school’s commitment to an academically excellent education means that our students can knock on the doors of the world’s top universities and colleges and find that they open wide to them. At the same time, Dyatmika offers students a real breadth of experience outside the classroom that allows them to find and follow their passions. Dyatmika values the unique culture and traditions of Bali through the many workshops, classes, and performances that our students are involved in. Our school does celebrate Budaya Bali and actively preserves this unique culture in the younger generation. Beyond that, Dyatmika provides an environment for students to develop skills to move between cultures with sensitivity and awareness. Going into Early Childhood and Primary classrooms you see and hear students from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds immersed and learning in both Bahasa Indonesia and in English. This is also the case in the school grounds as they move between languages seamlessly while they play, socialize or take part in Extra-Curricular Activities. In High School, teaching is conducted in English so that students can have great success in the Cambridge examinations, but all students continue to study Bahasa Indonesia at the level right for them. Dyatmika is proud to provide an education that offers the many benefits of bilingualism. We aim for our students to develop into responsible citizens who act ethically and provide leadership in their immediate situation and beyond. We want them to understand what it means to manage the environment sensibly and to accept their responsibility for the preservation of the natural world. The Founders of the school captured these ideas in Dyatmika’s Charter. The school remains true to these principles today. The heart of any school begins and ends with the people who enter it every day, from our talented and dedicated teaching, administrative and site staff, to our students and their families. Our strong and vibrant school community makes Dyatmika a warm and dynamic school. If you are not already a member of the Dyatmika family. Greetings and welcome to the Early Years Programme at Dyatmika. The Dyatmika Early Years is a safe, vibrant community spanning Playgroup to Kindergarten 2 (TK B). We understand that early childhood is a vital time in children’s learning and development. Our Early Years team views the opportunity to maximize the learning potential of all children as a privilege. We focus on nurturing a love of learning that will continue for the rest of their lives. Our dynamic Early Years Programme provides each child with strong foundations to develop fundamental skills to become confident, creative individuals and successful learners. Our teachers work together to plan purposeful activities for the children. We understand that all students are individual and we plan their learning according to their needs. We have a beautiful outdoor space where learning can take place outside the classroom. Children are given a range of opportunities to explore and learn from the vast natural environment of Bali at our doorstep. Dyatmika offers a unique blend of local and international education in its Primary School. Our students follow the highly regarded international Cambridge curriculum which prepares them for any future they may wish to follow. We also meet the requirements of the Indonesian National curriculum that provides a strong understanding of and connection to Indonesia’s history and culture. Dyatmika is unique in Bali in offering a bilingual education to all Primary School students, from TK A through to Class 6. The wellbeing of every student is ensured and students can receive the individual attention required to flourish both academically and personally. Welcome to the High School at Dyatmika. We are committed to academic excellence, social and cultural integration, and continuous improvement in learning. Our highly qualified and experienced team of international and national staff ensures support for all students learning. We build a strong achievement culture through active and engaging classes led by specialist teachers. Students are taught in English in High School. However, to ensure our commitment to bilingual education, every student continues to study Indonesian in specialist lessons. To serve the students of our community, the High School also offers the National curriculum and exams. In Classes 6 to 9, the National Curriculum can be studied concurrently with the Cambridge curriculum. Students study the Cambridge curriculum in Class 9 and 10 (IGCSE) and can then choose to study the National curriculum alongside the AS and A Level curriculum in Classes 11 and 12, achieving a double award on graduation.
