  1. Rivercrest students are encouraged to see themselves as global citizens. In addition to acquiring knowledge, they are encouraged to recognize the contribution and responsibility they have to engender greater harmony among the world's people to be respectful, compassionate, creative, and critical thinkers, who, although prepared to challenge prevailing ideas, are also sensitive and reflective. Rivercrest students are encouraged to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others. Throughout their years at Rivercrest, they will be challenged to become citizens of the world who epitomize Christ's commission to love and serve others. Rivercrest's curriculum is grounded in 21st-century thinking, where all facets of education are connected and interlinked. Rivercrest embraces an inquiry approach to learning within the context of a Christian worldview. Our Primary Campus caters to students from 3 years-of-age (in our Early Learning Centre) to Year 5. In 2019, our Middle Years Campus will open, offering classes in its first year of operation for Year 6. Different year levels will open in subsequent years, catering eventually for students in Year 6-10. Our Senior Years will incorporate Year 11 and 12. To be a leading provider of quality Christian Education delivered by Christian Staff, ensuring the Gospel message is an integral part of all we do. The mission of Rivercrest Christian College is to partner with parents and the wider community to help develop within each student the ability and desire to find and fulfill the will of God for their lives. The College offers human and practical resources, a unique environment, and opportunities to develop God's gifts and talents to each member of the College community. Specifically, each student will be encouraged to develop Christian faith and character as they pursue excellence at an academic, creative, and practical level, all of which are valuable. Following on from our motto 'Strength and Service,' we seek to develop in our student's strong character and intellect and a willingness to serve others within our global community. Rivercrest Christian College offers students an educational opportunity established on a Christian foundation. The basis of this foundation is God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) as Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer. As students prepare to take their place in Australian society, the College seeks to instill high Biblical morality standards, an understanding of social justice, and respect for others. The acquisition of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom are desired spiritual and educational outcomes for each student. Our curriculum recognizes the Lordship of Christ and the Bible as the inspired Word of God. The Scriptures reveal God's desire for everyone to be in a personal relationship with Him, developing their gifts and talents in service to Him as they grow in Christian character. This relationship is considered a model for all other relationships and the basis for the building of self-esteem and a fulfilling way of life. View full school
