In 1973, the Teachers' College of Surat Thani advanced rapidly, finally becoming Suratthani Rajabhat University. SSRU offers undergraduate programs, graduate programs, and doctoral degree programs to full and part-time students. We have more than 80 fields of study for our students. SSRU also has the International College and Management College, which offer various programs. Our students enjoy learning via online systems, e-learning, the internet, intranet, and wireless campus services are also provided throughout the university. The 14 database systems, which collect academic documents, are available in English. All processes regarding student admission, registration, delivery of student grades, the announcement of study results, and payments are made through the online system. SKU is one of the oldest institutions in Southern Thailand. It has been developing gradually from a Provincial Teacher Training School to Songkhla Rajabhat University at present. The University was established in 1919 when the Governor of Nakornsithammarat Province stayed in Songkhla Province. At that time, the Governor of Songkhla had an idea of producing provincial teachers for primary schools. The Provincial Teacher Training School was then established with the co-operation of Nakornsithammarat Provincial School (which is now Mahavajiravudh School, formerly located at Wichianchom School ). The school was for students who graduated from Pratom 3 to continue studying in Pratom 4-6 and focused more on Pedagogy Science. Phranakhon Rajabhat University was the first teacher production institute in Thailand, established by His Majesty King Chulalongkorn.Chulachomklao under the name of "Secondary School Teacher Training School" on October 12, 1949. Its responsibility was to produce teachers to support the expansion of the new bureaucracy. "Secondary School Teacher Training School" was renamed to the "Primary School Teacher Training School," offering 2-year primary school teaching courses for students who graduated from high school and certified primary school teachers. the "Primary School Teacher Training School" had changed its name to "Phranakhon Primary School Teacher Training School." This school had offered a 3-year course for anyone who would like to be certified as a primary school teacher. The Ministry of Education has promoted Phranakhon Teacher Training School to "Phranakhon Teacher College". The College had offered a 2-year course in Higher Diploma Level. It also offered courses in industrial arts, such as mechanics, electrical, metal, construction, and porcelain works. Later in, more courses had been offered. Phranakhon Teacher College, together with Phranakhon College of Education, offered College Teaching Courses using the College of Education curriculum. Any High Diploma graduates or 2-year Diploma graduates would be accepted to this College to pursue their Bachelor's degree. The Teachers College Act was enacted. As a result, Phranakhon Teacher College was allowed to offer an undergraduate degree. Students who had studied the Higher Teacher Curriculum would obtain a Bachelor of Education degree. Phranakhon Teacher College offered three more courses besides teaching courses in Education, Science, and Liberal Arts. The Phranakhon Teacher College had changed its status to "Rajabhat Phranakhon Institute" under the Rajabhat Institutes Act BE 2538 by His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej. His Majesty had graciously granted the royal seal to be used as the symbol of the institution. Later on, Phranakhon Rajabhat Institute had become a juristic person by the Rajabhat University Act BE 2547. It was renamed "Phranakhon Rajabhat University" to carry out as a higher education institution for local development and a Thai university for liberation. Phranakhon Rajabhat University had offered courses for both undergraduate and graduate students up till now. We determine to offer high quality and high standard learning experience to support a sustainable society. Rajabahat university was founded in 1975 (B.E. 2500). It was formerly known as the "Nakhon Si Thammarat Teacher Training School." In 1975 the university was renamed "Nakhon Si Thammarat Teachers College." The college offered two types of programs. The first was a Lower Certificate in Education. This was a two-year program implemented to train graduates for teaching positions at the elementary school level. The second program offered a Higher Certificate in Education. This was also a two-year program, but it prepared graduates for teaching in secondary schools. In 1975, the college began offering four-year bachelor's degree programs in Education. The areas of study offered were by the Teachers College Act of 1975. A surplus of teachers resulted in the 1984 revision of the Act. The Teacher Education Department was represented by 36 teacher training colleges with a diversified curriculum to train the workforce in fields other than Education. The curricula aimed to equip students with competence, professional attitudes, knowledge, and the skills required to succeed in their future careers. The curricula also provided work practice opportunities and on-the-job training for specific target groups. Rajabhat Institutes have always focused on regional areas development. At present, all Rajabhat Institutes have been re-designated as universities by the Thai Ministry of Education. They are officially recognized as "Rajabaht University." Under this new structure, all Rajabhat universities are under the Office of Higher Education Board's authority, the same board as both private and government universities. Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University (NRRU) is a sizeable government-funded university providing a broad range of Higher Education and training services in Thailand's lower Northeastern region. The university mission is to provide Higher Education, professional training centers, teaching and research plus academic services to the community, as well as seeking to improve, transfer and develop knowledge in the fields of technology, art, and cultural resource conservation and to produce a high standard of qualified teachers and educational staff. NRRU was initially founded in 1913 as a teacher training school, commonly known as Krumoon Unsung. It then gradually progressed to become Nakhon Ratchasima Teachers' College before finally being conferred from an "Institute" to a "University" on 15 June 2004. NRRUhas a long and rich history. We have a Language Institute's mission to develop language knowledge and skills for students, staff, and any interested person. The center provides language courses in languages such as English, French, Chinese, and Japanese. The courses are offered by native speakers and qualified teachers at different levels of proficiency. The center also provides academic services through various courses, including English for Job Application, TOEIC and TOEFL Preparation, Teacher Training, Academic English Camp, TKT Preparation, Language Improvement for Teachers, English for Communication, English for Teachers, and Administrators. Our Art and Culture Center is a resource for local Art and Culture research. The objective of the center is to preserve and promote Korat cultural identities. LPRU aims to be one of the leading universities in the north of Thailand and produce graduates and provide academic services in support of the development of the community's arts and culture and the wider society. This follows the eight sections of the Rajabhat Universities Act, which are concerned with developing education and academic matters, higher vocational training, and research for building and developing new bodes of knowledge such that the University becomes a center of learning for society. This is so that it will be able to provide academic services to society, develop the skills and abilities of teachers and others involved in education, and maintain religious, cultural and artistic traditions and so, in line with Royal thought, support the management of the environment and the community's natural resources. Lampang Rajabhat University (LPRU), initially called Lampang Teachers College, was founded on the 9th June 1971. The college opened to students the following year and offered courses leading to a teacher's certificate. The following year, courses leading to a higher teacher's certificate were added. Following the Teachers College Act of 1975, the Teachers Colleges were able to enroll students in full degree programs in education, and Lampang Teachers College began to do so. The Teachers College Act of 1984 also stipulated that Teachers Colleges could now offer undergraduate programs in courses other than in education, so Lampang Teachers College opened courses in liberal arts and science. Lampang Teachers College joined with other Teachers Colleges in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Uttaradit to form the Upper North group of colleges. Following regulations issued by the Teachers Council, these colleges developed into the Lanna Federation of Colleges. The Rajabhat Institute Act changed the name of the Teachers Colleges to 'Rajabhat Institutes,' and as a result, Lampang Teachers College became Lampang Rajabhat Institute. The Rajabhat Institute Act had many consequences for the Institutes, one of which was to broaden the subjects they taught. Lampang Rajabhat Institute began to teach master's-level courses in education administration for executives and in education. Rajabhat Universities Act came into effect, promoting Lampang Rajabhat Institute to Lampang Rajabhat University, which now came under the Office of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education. Nowadays, Lampang Rajabhat University offers courses at the diploma, bachelor's, and master's levels in the fields of education, humanities, science, business administration, accounting, and law in the faculties of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management, Science, Agricultural Technology, and Industrial Technology. Four other divisions of the University have a status equivalent to faculties, and these work to support the University's primary educational aims. These are the Office of the President, the Office of Services and Information Technology, the Institute of Research and Development, and the Office of Arts and Culture. Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, as it is now known, was initially established in 1896, following the Royal wishes of King Rama the Fifth to set up a secondary school based on the typical public school of the United Kingdom. It was formally called "King's college" and located at Somdej Chaopraya Borommaha Srisuriyawongse (Chaung Bannag) 's residence. The meaning of the word residence in Thai is "Ban," which led to the name "Bansomdej Chaopraya" later. Over the following century, the University has significantly developed. In 1995 we were highly honored to receive a Royal Award as Thailand's most outstanding Institute under the Ministry of Education's higher education category. At this time, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej bestowed the name "Institute of Rajabhat." The Rajabhat Institute later became Rajabhat University, following the Royal Command of June 14, 2004. This gave as a current title Bansomdej Chaopraya Rajabhat University. The University officially has all the honors of other State universities to provide education from kindergarten up to doctoral degree level. In BSRU, Art and Cultural Centre Meeting Hall was built during the era of King Rama VI. It is a modern 2-story meeting hall designed by Western architects. It has 1000 traditional style seats. It was awarded the Excellent Architecture Conservation from The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage in 2012 and accepted the award from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. We host international researchers & experts to research in Thailand in various fields as ASEAN study, Sciences, Linguistics, Management, Education, etc. We will offer meals and accommodation, visa correspondence, and a Bangkok trip for researchers, scholars, and experts, including spouses. We seek for staff development cooperation in continuing Ph.D. education, academic and research training, workshop, official academic leave such as academic position documentary writing, research operating, etc. We are glad to promote cooperation in academic and research auditing between our University and international institutes.BSRU seeks to establish ASEAN Studies & Resources Centre.
