Ysgol Gymunedol Peniel is located in a rural area some three miles north of Carmarthen. It was opened in September 2009. It serves the areas of Peniel, Bronwydd, Rhydargaeau, and Pont-ar-Sais. Carmarthenshire Education Authority has placed the school in Category A. The majority of the curriculum is taught through the medium of Welsh. Our vision is to enable children to develop their abilities, skills, and knowledge required to become caring and purposeful members of our ever-changing community within a happy and stable environment, and to encourage continuity through the stages of their development to become life-long learners. Children, teachers, and parents at Ysgol Peniel seek to work together to ensure that pupils are given a good start. We work hard, but also have enjoyment and pleasure. Children must be educated and developed emotionally, socially, physically, morally, and intellectually. We seek to achieve these aims by: Providing opportunities for every pupil to learn and to succeed. Promoting the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of the pupils and preparing pupils for life’s opportunities, responsibilities, and experiences. Creating a caring and safe environment so that they experience a high level of self-respect. Developing pupils’ responsibility towards the environment. Developing a prominent place for the School within the local community. Reacting positively to the opportunities and challenges of a rapidly changing world.
