The Partium Christian University is a continuation of the centuries-long traditions of Transylvanian Hungarian higher education, the first autonomous, accredited University created by Romania's Hungarians after the 1989 changes. The Partium Christian University is an integral part of the European Higher Education Area and Romania's Hungarian higher education system. From the beginning of its history, the recognition led to the fact that the autonomous University organized in the mother tongue for the Transylvanian Hungarian minority is the same thing as establishing a complete institutional system of native language public education. Starting from this principle, beyond the current educational and scientific tasks, the University also plays a strategic role in national policy. Our goal is to ensure equal opportunities for our Hungarian national community living in Transylvania and Partium in education and create competitive professionals for our community, according to the requirements of high-quality education and science.
