Plymouth Marjon University sits on a green and spacious campus, with world-class facilities in a spectacular part of the world. But the thing that most makes us stand out is our students. They are the inspiration and motivation for all we do. Here, students build strong working relationships with a network of supporters, from their Development Tutors to their lecturers to the Student Union, and therefore achieve more than they ever thought possible. They work side-by-side to improve and develop the University to make their experience as rich and rewarding as possible. Our results speak for themselves: more than 95% of students find employment or move into further study within six months of graduating. We have three courses that have scored 100% satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2017. We were also named the top University in the UK for social mobility in a one-off report in 2014, demonstrating the power of giving students both the skills to succeed and the confidence to use them. We offer a great range of courses from Foundation Degrees & Progression Courses to Honours Degrees and Postgraduate study. As the most experienced teacher training provider in the South West, we have been successfully training teachers since 1840, receiving praise in our Ofsted inspections, including an “outstanding” for our secondary Management and Quality Assurance. We have excellent links with local schools, and Marjon is both well known and well respected. All our programs involve work placements of some sort. All students are trained in critical graduate-level skills such as presenting with impact, applying for jobs, managing interviews, and influencing others. We work very closely with key employers on all programs, linking our students to a network of contacts to help them in their future careers. Personal Development Tutors work closely with students in both group work and one-to-one to build confidence and develop individual strengths. Our particular areas include teaching, sport, health and well-being, social sciences, business, and performing arts. Each area has industry-level resources and facilities to prepare students for the workplace. Our Values are at the heart of everything we do. Our staff developed them, are inspired by our students' stories, by our history, and by our hopes and ambitions for the future.
