  1. The establishment of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan is a phenomenal achievement, an eye-catching development in Higher Education, and an ambitious effort in the struggle to promote higher knowledge. It would be remembered as a leap forward in the country's annals in general and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular. The performance and achievements of the University since its establishment augurs well for its glorious future. Its achievements are a matter of great honor and pride for all those associated with it. Aristotle has rightly said, "Excellence is an art won by training. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act but a habit". Education is training. Contributing as much as one can to ensure the smooth functioning of the University will bring dividends to the faculty, students, people of the province, and the country. This is only possible if a dedicated and disciplined attitude is demonstrated towards life. The vision will be realized by measuring and analyzing where we intend to implement concrete improvements for the future. The expectations for achieving this critical change will be based on five guiding and strict principles: Competence, Integrity, Transparency, Meritocracy, and Accountability. Universities are centers of learning and knowledge to create future leaders and members of our society who can inspire, lead, and assist in carving ambitious futures for the next generation. At an individual level, universities develop people who contribute significantly to the national economic, social, and technological development through their broader intellectual capital and specific subject expertise. Thus our University has a great responsibility in shaping the future of our region and our nation. Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan will inculcate quality education affordable to most people, aiming at the scientific, economic, and socio-cultural uplift of the masses for higher learning and research. To achieve par excellence in Natural, Social and Administrative Sciences, Arts, and Humanities in a sophisticated manner and state-of-the-art environment. View full university
