  1. Your child is bright, sensitive, and aware your child is worth pursuing whatever it takes to ensure the development of the adaptive skills necessary to thrive. From communication to social skills, your child's development benefits from a holistic perspective. Our professionals work from a whole body-whole mind approach, fostering an interactive process of skill development and personal growth. Autism, like most neurological conditions, impacts your child's learning style rather than your child's ability to learn. We understand the vital role of the family in our children's education and pursue a multi-disciplinary team approach as we strive for excellence with your children. When dual-diagnoses exist, a comprehensive appraisal of strengths and needs must occur. It is integral to the child's success that the practitioners look beyond labels, seeing the variables that contribute to your child's unique, and perhaps complicated, profile. Magnificent Minds Inc. is a small, private school and therapeutic service provider located in Toronto since 2011, and in Vaughan (Maple) for September 2019. Using the science of learning (Applied Behaviour Analysis) and a commitment to experiential (hands-on) learning, we motivate our students to achieve academic excellence, personal greatness and develop resilience and coping mechanisms through best-practice in mental health support. Being a student in a Magnificent Minds Inc. classroom is an interactive experience. With an authentic appreciation for the various learning styles within a classroom, our teachers cover all the bases for ensuring that curiosity is sparked and learning is organic. Our students are bright, adaptive students who have struggled in traditional schools due to academic, behavioral, language-based, sensory, or social-emotional challenges. Many of our students possess a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, or other neurological difference. We also support children without formally identified special needs or diagnosis, who benefit from a low-ratio, evidence-based teaching approach. Our students are brilliant and possess unique strengths and areas of need that benefit from systematic teaching using cutting-edge pedagogical approaches. We successfully motivate our students to achieve personal greatness, often surpassing grade-level curriculum requirements and developing lifelong friendships. Our educational philosophy reflects our dedication to championing each student to personal greatness. We know that individualized education is the highest standard, calling for an approach that assesses student skills across multiple intelligences and skill and developmental domains. We are dedicated to low-ratio classrooms and hands-on teaching and provide group learning experiences that account for each student's strengths and needs. We recognize that for many of our students, traditional one-size-fits-all instruction has missed the mark. We continue to develop and extend knowledge in areas of strength and build upon existing skills—in a way that is systematic and precise in areas of need. Through our psychoeducational approach, we understand the variables that impact learning. We know that education must target the development of the whole child, across multiple paradigms. In our community, student variables are celebrated as dynamic aspects of our student body. Our approach reflects our commitment to fostering social relationships and yielding confident and happy learners with a diverse range of skills and interests. In addition to our instruction derived from the Ontario Ministry of Education Curriculum, we incorporate Adjunct Programs that help us reach our "big picture" goals. Our Innovative primary/junior school program is rooted in positive reinforcement principles, academic fluency, experiential and hands-on learning, mindfulness training, communication, and social skill-building. We strive to produce confident, happy learners as we champion our students to personal greatness. We understand that not all students learn the same way and are dedicated to individualization throughout the academy journey. Ontario Ministry of Education goals is targeted in a holistic, interactive way that maximizes attention, focus, and the ability to learn without stress or pressure. Adjunct Programs are added to target foundational skills across domains that target wellness and student success. Our Middle School program is rooted in positive reinforcement, skill fluency, experiential and hands-on learning, mindfulness training, communication, and social skill-building. We strive to produce confident, happy learners as we champion our students to personal greatness. Using the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum as a starting point and various multi-disciplinary curriculums to supplement, we're creating an interactive and holistic learning experience. "With our new Middle School program, we are ready to double-down on our commitment to offering behavioral and educational programming through our mental health lens (...). As kids age, their needs change. That is just basic developmental theory. As kids age, the gap between them and their peers can narrow or widen--and just like in early intervention, the level of support received can make all the differences."
