We understand that different people were looking for different outcomes when they chose to study at Macleay. That is why we offer both Diploma and Bachelor programs. All our Diploma courses can be completed within 12 months. No ATAR is required to apply for the Diploma programs. Graduating with a Diploma opens the door to many employment opportunities. It also provides a pathway into the second year of the associated Bachelor program. Our Bachelor's degrees can be completed within two years. This means you will graduate faster than traditional universities. If you have completed Year 12 in the last two years, we review your ATAR as one part of your application, but it is not everything. Talk to our Admissions Team to understand our admission requirements - you can secure your place today! Our Graduate Certificate strengthens the knowledge and skills gained from your undergraduate degree and industry experience. Classes are scheduled in the evenings to allow you to combine work and studies. You learn by doing at Macleay. Pitch business ideas to entrepreneurs, record a radio ad in the studio or write a story in the Newsroom. Our curriculum is as hands-on and practical as you can get. Most of your studies will be centered around project-based learning. This means you will be working on authentic real-life projects with your peers in a creative learning environment where everyone has a voice and where everyone can make a contribution. Our teachers are all working or have worked in the industry that they are teaching in. They bring the latest trends and insights into the classroom every day to ensure you are job-ready upon graduation. It also means you will benefit from their industry network. Many of our teachers have introduced students to their future employers or supported connections to get graduates one step closer to their dream role. We adopt the principles and practices of positive education at Macleay. We teach students how to adopt a growth mindset and capitalize on their strengths. Students develop skills that support relationship development, enhance personal reliance, adopt mindfulness and gratitude, and encourage a healthy lifestyle. These qualities will help them respond constructively to challenges in their studies and their broader personal and work life. This empowers individuals to realize their potential and flourish. No matter what you are studying, classes are held over 3 set days each week. This leaves students at least four extra days to study or work. A healthy work/learn balance is an integral part of life at Macleay, and this timetable is one way we achieve it. We understand it can be not easy to juggle different schedules and times, so we purposely design the timetable to ensure you have plenty of time for life outside of studying. For even more flexibility, students also can study part-time and take evening classes (subject to class sizes). However you are feeling, we are here to help. A qualified counselor is available for students in our Sydney and Melbourne campus every week. Students and staff can book a private and confidential meeting free of charge with our College counselor for those in need of some extra personal and emotional support. Students are encouraged to attend free workshops on study tips, referencing, essay writing, search and research and report writing, held regularly on campus.
