Kazimieras Simonavičius University (KSU), founded in 2003, is an accredited private institution of higher education with Vilnius and Klaipeda, Lithuania. The studies cover significant areas of Social Sciences – Business and Management, Public Administration, Law, Communication, Economics, Political Sciences, and Sociology – and Technological Sciences in the field of Information Technologies. Small study groups ensure that every student gets personalized attention. First-year students could get personal mentors and tutors. Students throughout the studies have regular consultations on their career prospects. They can enroll in the Career Path program, which helps them master practical and personalized skills and prepare themselves for a career path. The University has student exchange agreements with over 100 universities all over the world. KSU offers multiple opportunities for students and academics to participate in foreign professional training and educational projects. Each semester there are compulsory and optional courses taught by foreign academics from all over the world. In 2013 the University carried out the project "Improvement of Study Efficiency at Kazimieras Simonavicius University" and was awarded study quality management standard ISO 9001:2008. EU Structural Funds financed the project under the 2007-2013 Operational Program for the Development of Human Resources Priority 2 "Lifelong Learning "Measure "Improvement of Study System Efficiency. " On 11th October 2013, the Certificate of quality management system ISO 9001:2008 (LST EN 9001:2008) was handed over to the Rector of Kazimieras Simonavicius University, Prof. Dr. Arūnas Augustinaitis by Vytautas Pijoras, the Director-General of the company UAB "TUV UOLEKTIS "that is a subdivision of the German TUV CERT certification enterprise "TÜV Thüringen e. V. "in Lithuania.
