Seen as a reference on its territory and its region, member of the ISAE group, the world leader in aerospace engineering higher education and research, ISAE-ENSMA successfully faces the industrial and societal challenges, in the fields of transport and energy, by high-level training engineers, able to manage complex projects, showing leadership to manage teams and organizations, and initiative for entrepreneurship, in a worldwide highly connected environment. This approach guides the training program of the ISAE-ENSMA engineers for the next few years. The program is supported by many academic and industrial partnerships and research projects of excellence, closely linked to high-level courses. Founded in Poitiers in 1948, ENSMA has been located since 1993 next to the site of Futuroscope. In 2011, ENSMA turned a corner by taking on the name of ISAE-ENSMA by creating, with ISAE-SUPAERO, the ISAE Group, the 1st world center of training and research in aeronautical and space engineering. The following pages give a complete description of our school. I hope you enjoy reading it. In 2011, ENSMA turned a corner by taking on the name of ISAE-ENSMA. Indeed, ISAE – Institut Supérieur de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace created from the merger of SUPAERO and ENSICA- takes the initiative to give their name French aeronautical engineering schools by respecting a standard charter of values and sharing collective projects of development. In 2012, ESTACA and the French Air Force Academy joined the ISAE Group. The main subjects you can find in the books at the library are related to the courses taught at ISAE-ENSMA: Sciences-Mathematics and, Techniques (Applied science). One of ISAE-ENSMA's main priorities is to promote international student exchanges. Almost one student out of three spends time abroad either on placement or taking a university course. English classes are therefore compulsory at ISAE-ENSMA. The school also has international students who follow the engineering course and perform research projects in laboratories. In order to facilitate exchanges, ISAE-ENSMA has signed bilateral agreements with international universities and plays an active role as a member of the GE4 and the CREPUQ networks. The PFIEV program supports the training of Vietnamese students. In order to promote European aeronautical education and visibility, ISAE-ENSMA is a member of the Pegasus network. The ISAE group has a vocation to federate in France the schools of aeronautical and space engineering under a standard banner, in a way to develop the influence of those schools, both nationally and globally, and to promote the engineering training in areas such aeronautics and space. The ISAE group was created in May 2011 with the joining of ENSMA Poitiers, and welcomed in September 2012, as associate partners, ESTACA (Paris-Saclay, France) and the French Air Force Academy (Salon-de-Provence, France). With the joining of those two new schools, the ISAE group, on top of its engineering training from SUPAERO and ENSMA, its range of Master's programs, specialized Master's degrees, and PhDs, offers to aeronautical and space industries a range of graduates, unique in Europe.
