      1. Eynesbury is one of Adelaide's oldest private senior secondary Colleges for students in Years 10, 11, and 12. Eynesbury Senior College encourages students to 'think outside the box' using independent learning principles, including self-motivation, self-managing, self-evaluating, and self-regulation. We recognize that a 'cookie cutter' approach to learning does not work. Students are supported in their learning through individualized and flexible timetables and extensive support from teachers and mentors. We offer a comprehensive well-being program that ensures no student slips through the cracks, and every student is offered the support they need to achieve their best. The College is located in the heart of the city, on Franklin Street near Victoria Square. Eynesbury is easily accessible by public transport. The location also enables us to take advantage of facilities such as the Law Courts, Universities, and Galleries as an extension of classrooms giving students real-life context to their studies. Eynesbury Senior College has consistently high Year 12 results. Students placed in the top percentages of the State and merits for perfect scores are commonplace. Substantial academic achievement is a testament to Eynesbury's unique learning environment. Taking its name from the historic Eynesbury House on Old Belair Road, Kingswood, the College was established in 1990. Eynesbury House remains an icon in which people still connect with the College; however, in January 1996, Eynesbury moved to a more massive campus in the heart of the city on Franklin Street due to outgrowing the Kingswood Campus. Eynesbury remained a two-campus school until the end of 2001 when all classes were consolidated at the Franklin Street campus. From 2001 until 2010, Eynesbury Senior College co-existed with the English Language School (ELICOS) on the Franklin Street Campus. However, in 2010 the ELICOS campus and the Foundation Programs moved to Coglin Street. Eynesbury Senior College is one of Adelaide's oldest private senior secondary Colleges for Years 10, 11, and 12, specializing in preparing students for university and life beyond the classroom. It also offers a Year 9 Early Entry Program into Year 10 studies for students. There is no 'standard route' through years 10, 11, and 12 with timetables tailored to each student. The College invests in the latest technology, which fosters student creativity, and its CBD location enables teachers to make the most of facilities within walking distance. Providing opportunities beyond the classroom to students enrich their learning and life experience, mostly when lessons are held at the Universities, the law courts, theatre, museums, galleries, or exhibition spaces, to name a few spaces used regularly by the teacher's students at Eynesbury. It also allows for student meetings or breaks to be enjoyed in the nearby Central Markets or cafes. As Principal of Eynesbury College, I have an open-door policy to the Eynesbury community, and it gives me no greater joy than to witness the looks on the faces of parents and prospective students as I walk them through the College, and they see the teachers working with students they know personally, operating in an atmosphere of mutual respect. It is uplifting and provides our parents with real confidence, and students often point out the personal satisfaction and liberation they feel when learning in such an environment. I invite you to join me on a school tour to share the many things that make the College unique.
