Established in 1960, the School of Medical Technology was the first of its kind in the country. It has molded medical technologists with intensive and updated training provided by the most seasoned practitioners and enhanced with the most modern laboratory equipment and resources. The CEU School of Medical Technology trains students to perform laboratory test procedures and analyses used in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of the disease and health maintenance. The program focuses on using modern equipment and the performance of scientific techniques in the administration of the full spectrum of Medical Technology services required in modern health care. At the end of a four-year course, students demonstrate competencies in scientific research, methods, and processes, acquiring instrumentation, laboratory diagnosis, methodology, and life-saving procedures. They manifest as well wholesome values and attitudes that enable them to contribute to the overall social, mental, physical, health, and environmental concerns of the community, of the country, and the world. Established in 1921, the School of Pharmacy is a leading institution in the field. CEU Pharmacists excel with their unique training and extensive experience in Pharmacy's essentials, continually proving themselves to be among the best in their profession. Students are consistently trained to be globally competitive, professionally competent, legally qualified, morally upright, and patient and population-oriented pharmacy practitioners. The Pharmacy program is enhanced with the latest in laboratory equipment and library resources. Pharmacy students build strong careers as supervisors, owners, or managers of drugstores, company pharmacists, quality control pharmacists, laboratory instructors, lecturers, food and drug regulation officers, hospital pharmacists, clinical pharmacists, directors of hospital pharmacies product managers of pharmaceutical firms. The School of Science and Technology seeks to develop the logical, creative, and critical thinking skills of its students to improve and enhance their scientific and technological skills, strengthen their aesthetic and cultural values, and prepare them to become productive world-class professionals.
