Suan Dusit Rajabhat University was initially established as the "Home Science Secondary School." The university has been developed based on our existing academic strengths while always keeping pace with ever-changing circumstances under the philosophy "Being a university capable of boosting survivability." The university operates in compliance with its mission, producing high-quality graduates positively embraced and sought after by society. Our graduates also possess outstanding personality exclusively developed by Suan Dusit culture. Additionally, we aim to build, develop, and disseminate a Body of Knowledge and innovation to improve our graduates' competencies in parallel with strengthening communities, society, and the country. This has been conducted to provide academic services and maintain arts and culture while supporting balanced and sustainable environmental management and promoting the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economic. Our mission also includes creating and developing the teaching profession's strengths by adhering to management principles under a first adaptation approach, enabling us to cope with changing contexts while gaining competitive advantages at the ASEAN level. All in all, this will lead us to accomplish our vision of being a specialized university in distinctive identities comprising Food, Childhood Education, Service Industry, and, Nursing and Wellbeing under the administration and management for academic excellence. Shortly, our university development will make great strides by changing the status from a governmental unit to a university under the government's supervision. The identities of Suan Dusit Rajabhat University are determined by primary expertise, which has been accepted at both national and international levels, and the competence to respond to local and social needs. Four identities of the university are Childhood Education Food Industry Service Industry Nursing Science Suan Dusit Rajabhat University is a unique university that has very distinctive identities, to be exact, the food industry, childhood education, service industry, and nursing science under the excellence-based development process. The Food Industry is one of the renowned strengths of Suan Dusit Rajabhat University. Culinary expertise is at the top of the list of skills inherited from the Phra Nakorn Home Science School. Women in the past were instructed on home science gained through long-established wisdom for generations. The purpose of learning and teaching at the university is to maintain the reputation of Suan Dusit as a culinary expert while moving forward unceasingly. SDU provides childhood education that caters to young learners from infants to eight-year-old children. Childhood Education requires specific management techniques that are comparatively different from other branches of education. Children at this age are at a learning stage that is crucial to developing their competencies, either physically or intellectually, mentally or emotionally, and enhancement of social competence. With more than 50 years of experience in learning and teaching in this educational realm, the Faculty of Education is one of the strong identities that have led Suan Dusit to become a leader in Childhood Education in Thailand. Furthermore, La-or Utis Demonstration School, the first public kindergarten of Thailand and the country's pre-school education prototype, is also situated within the university's premises.
