  2. Sekolah Bogor Raya is Bogor’s leading “National Plus” school. Founded in 1995, we provide both locally and internationally accredited curricula in a green and pleasant environment in the picturesque Bogor Lakeside residential complex, near the main Bogor Toll exit. Sekolah Bogor Raya is a multi-faith school with students from many different nationalities and backgrounds. Our school runs from Playgroup up to Senior High School and our students come mostly from the Bogor, Sentul, and Cibubur areas. Bus service is available to and from most locations. We strive to provide holistic education that produces compassionate young men and women, free of prejudice, proud of their identities, their cultures, and their heritage, and at the same time respectful of all faiths and appreciative of world cultures. We hope by supporting, facilitating, and exposing our students to a wide range of experiences that we produce students who are equipped with the skills needed to learn independently and problem solve using both critical thinking and creativity. At Sekolah Bogor Raya we encourage curiosity above all else. The spark of enthusiasm you see in a student's eyes from having some control over the direction of their learning is something which we feel is essential for students to learn effectively. Technological expertise in terms of I.T skills is encouraged and supported so that our graduates can utilize both the current and future technology that they will be using to advance their careers. We believe that in a digital world overflowing with information, critical thinking is vital to being able to research and differentiate between useful information and data and that which is not valid and in some cases untrue. We ensure our students look at issues from multiple perspectives. This allows the students to think about both sides of every given situation. It also allows them to look at issues through both local and international lenses. This helps them understand that everyone brings different opinions and perspectives to a situation and that those opinions may vary and that is fine. They learn to listen to varying opinions and understand that we can learn something from everyone we meet. This enables them to enter the world with both the listening and communication skills necessary to interact with people and gain the most from every person they meet. We support students through our program to build their confidence one step at a time. These steps sometimes end in a fall but learning how to accept not succeeding builds resilience and this is a characteristic everyone must gain to bounce back when things don’t go our way. We believe our graduating students will be capable global citizens who are open-minded and able to appreciate the opinions of others no matter what their nationality, ethnicity, or religion may be.

We provide a quality education where each child is respected and valued as an individual. We have a staff/pupil ratio that many schools could only wish for. Our curriculum is flexible and ensures that students are motivated to learn in a safe and supportive atmosphere. We are authorized by the International Baccalaureate Association to implement the Primary Years (PYP) curriculum and for Middle School (grades 6 to 8), we implement the International Middle Years Curriculum both recognized throughout the world. Our international teachers are highly experienced in teaching these programs and take pride in delivering a meaningful and engaging curriculum that promotes intercultural understanding, environmental stewardship, and a strong sense of community service. Our school has long been planning with an eye on the future. This document is a result of many hours of deliberation on the part of all members of the community and drives everything that we do here at ISB. We provide educational excellence in a supportive community environment, preparing our students to thrive and succeed as responsible global citizens in a changing world. The Intercultural School of Bogor was originally founded in 1974 as the Bogor Expatriate School (BES) to educate children of the international community. Thanks to new regulations, in 1998 we opened our doors to Indonesian families and changed our name to reflect the truly multicultural learning environment that we provide. ISB became a member of the East Asian Regional Conference of Schools (EARCOS) in 1976 and the same year was registered as a Yayasan. As a non-profit organization, the school is governed and administered by a 3-tier board of directors consisting of present and past members of the school community, thereby ensuring that the interests of the children and the school are always at the forefront of the agenda. For 40 years, ISB has had a history of delivering quality schooling and childcare in our community. We recognize that the parent is the child’s first educator and as such we aim to establish good links with parents and families, to ensure the best outcomes for your child. Our teaching methods emphasize key skills for the 21st century so that our students can get ahead in a rapidly changing world.
