      1. The Bishop's School for Boys was established in 1936. We pride ourselves on being the oldest school in Jordan holds both a sense of heritage and a constant ongoing process to improve based on the latest methods of education. To date, the school has graduated many students who have become leading members of our community. The Bishop's School Amman was created under the notion of servicing the Jordanian public by contributing to the social and intellectual empowerment of its future generations. Utilizing the most effective educational tools, the school endeavors to raise individuals that make a difference, instilling in them a love for education, development, and effecting change in their respective environments. The school is a private institution that is under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education. It is currently teaching both national and international curriculums, such as the IGCSE, GCE A-level, and is in the process of receiving authorization from the International Baccalaureate, as well as considering becoming part of IBCC. Along with academics, the school offers many extracurricular activities such as sports, music, art, and many other clubs. These activities are designed to contribute to the whole well-being of the student and his motivation for learning beyond the classroom. The school offers its counseling services to students. This service covers the psychological and social aspects of counseling in a preventive and therapeutic manner. The Counseling Department offers a comprehensive developmentally appropriate curriculum that covers the whole school. In addition, counseling services are offered through working with students individually and/or in groups. Special workshops are also organized to tackle issues that are deemed essential for different age groups. The Counseling Department at school aims to develop healthy, well-rounded characters and enable students to reach the potential abilities that enable them to achieve their goals. It also aims to instill the ability to cope with change on the part of the students while remaining true to themselves at all levels. We believe that there are no limits to the human spirit, and the heights to which it can soar and the infinite possibilities it creates from such a notion springs our learning environment a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment that inspires us to achieve excellence. Furthermore, the Department conducts Time Management and Study Skills sessions for students as well as PET (Parents Effectiveness Training Programme) course for parents. The Bishop’s School for Boys’ vision stems from the belief in being rational and ethical on the one hand and being schools of soul and spirit on the other, in a constant state of equilibrium from which wisdom will surely follow. We are alive being, continuously in a process of growth. In touch with the variety of rapid changes taking place in the 21st century, we aspire to be pioneers in walking ourselves uniquely through it, with the 22nd century at the tip of our fingers. Today as we open the doors of our learning organization to communicate with a larger learning community, we embrace a dynamic process and commitment to celebrating diversity and promoting global harmony to facilitate an intercultural and international understanding that will place us at the heart of the world. We at the Bishop’s School for Boys strive to provide our students with a quality education that helps them grow into empowered human beings who work on realizing their potential through being active lifelong learners reflective and critical thinkers who maintain a high degree of emotional intelligence and adopt a strong humane set of values knowledge creators initiators of change responsible and productive citizens, aware of their cultural heritage, and open to diversity. 2. We have the time and space and, above all, the commitment, to discover and develop the talent within your child, wherever his or her talents lie. As a day and boarding school for 4-18-year-olds, we can cater for boys and girls of different ages within the family and the individual needs of different families. Following the substantial investment, we recently opened a new day house and three new boarding and day houses which means we are now able to offer boys and girls, state of the art, en suite boarding accommodation with the very latest in modern facilities. They are something we are enormously proud of. At the heart of the College, though, are people. It is the energy and imagination of College staff, and their enthusiasm to go that extra mile, which creates the opportunities, experiences, and very special atmosphere that our pupils enjoy and adds immeasurable value to the education we provide. The breadth of experience is naturally woven into daily life. Our pupils can, and do, pursue high academic standards whilst enjoying, and succeeding in, many other interests. Our love of life and learning enables pupils to grow into well-rounded, skillful, caring and confident people, equipped and ready for the adventures and opportunities life has to offer. Bishop’s Stortford College is one of the UK’s top-performing independent co-educational schools. At the heart of the value, we offer is the community of people. Pupils are surrounded by inspiring role models who enable them to develop the same confidence and ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. The infectious enthusiasm, imagination, and dedication of the College staff, in partnership with parents, enables our pupils to grow into happy, well-rounded, skillful, and caring young people, equipped and ready for the adventures and opportunities life has to offer. The rapport between staff and pupils, and between pupils across different ages, cultivates a strong sense of belonging and nurtures timeless values such as responsibility, courtesy, and consideration for the needs of others. The breadth of experience is naturally woven into daily life. Our pupils can, and do, pursue high academic standards whilst enjoying, and succeeding in, many other interests. As three schools in one, we are large enough to provide an exceptional range of opportunities, whilst each part is small enough for pupils to be known, valued, and nurtured as individuals. The use of pioneering technology in geography, the hugely successful Festival of Literature, numerous high-quality musical and drama events, and frequent high-level sporting success are just a few examples of how we constantly strive for excellence in all we do. As a through, day and boarding school, with a flexible approach to boarding, we can cater for boys and girls of different ages within a family and the individual needs of different families. We are blessed with a beautifully peaceful, spacious, and safe setting, close to the countryside yet within walking distance of the center of a market town. There is easy access by air, road or rail and full advantage is taken of our proximity to London and Cambridge. View full school
      3. Bordered by farmland and rolling hills, Bishop's College School is a small, diverse community located in Sherbrooke, Quebec – 161 km east of Montreal. The school is English-language and co-educational, welcoming both boarders and day students. Our faculty and staff are dedicated, experienced, and committed to students' growth both inside and outside the classroom. Each student is appointed an Advisor who helps monitor social and academic progress—learning strategists in the R.D.W. Howson Enrichment Centre works in conjunction with faculty to help students develop the tools and confidence needed to excel. With an average class size of 15, students and teachers develop close bonds. We emphasize individual attention and collaborative learning. Every two weeks, we evaluate each student's participation in class through the Effort Ratings. In addition to class time, teachers are also available for extra help during evenings and weekends. Our students are equipped to succeed. Our University Advisor works with each student to find universities and programs that match their interests, abilities, and aspirations. Through our Bridge Program with Bishop's University, eligible students in Form VII (Grade 12) can enroll in university courses for credit. We prepare students for A.P., S.A.T., and other standardized tests. We're also an official S.A.T. test center. The unique T.H.P. Molson Bilingual Option allows French-speaking students to maintain fluency in their mother tongue while also providing English-speaking students the means to reach higher levels of French skill. English as a Second Language (E.S.L.) instruction is available from Form II (Grade 7) to Form V (Grade 10) to help both international and French-speaking students adapt. Students with a passion for the arts have no shortage of opportunities at B.C.S., and students who have not yet discovered their passion have a place to learn and explore. The Visual Arts program focuses on creativity and studio work, as well as art history and theory. Drama students can work both on and off the stage, writing and performing short plays and film scripts, and creating longer film projects. With four bands and a choir, the students in the Music program perform at events throughout the year and develop an appreciation for various music styles, including jazz, classical, and accessible. Our primary goal is to educate young people, enabling B.C.S. students to benefit from a broader range of knowledge, a greater depth of understanding, and a solid foundation of values. The school continued to grow and prosper over the years; unfortunately, not all students shared the same fate during periods of conflict. B.C.S. takes tremendous pride in the fact that hundreds of former students volunteered and fought for Canada during the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War. The names of those who fell (65 boys and three masters in the First World War, 62 boys in the Second World War and one master in the Korean War) are remembered every year during the school's Remembrance Day Service in November. B.C.S. teachers are energetic, passionate, and inspiring people who care deeply about student success. They challenge students appropriately, provide individualized attention, and set high standards. The network of support continues outside the classroom with other teachers, advisors, houseparents, and staff. Outside of class time, they coach sports, participate in activities, offer extra help, and mentor students. Many teachers live right on campus or within walking distance. Students are paired with an Advisor (faculty or staff), who will be advocates and supporters throughout the year. They meet in small groups every Thursday morning to discuss current events, social issues, academic challenges, or personal growth. The relationship is also academically-oriented – the Advisor will help ensure the student is on the path to success and will communicate with parents as needed. Students are welcome to stop in to see their Advisor any time they wish. Each student's class participation is evaluated on a bi-weekly basis. These ratings serve several purposes: they encourage students to do their best every week. They help identify students who may need extra supervision and attention during prep time (homework), and they keep parents informed of their child's progress. The Effort List is posted on a notice board and read aloud in Chapel. It is also available online for parents.
      4. Bishop's is a school of 800 students in grades six through twelve. Our community is committed to discussion-based, student-centered instruction. This pedagogical approach relies on close reading, critical thinking, analytical writing, experimentation, and an openness to honest and challenging discussions. It also relies on a fundamentally human-to-human interaction: Student and teacher exploring ideas and concepts together in order to reach a more in-depth, better understanding. Every day, our faculty interacts with students individually and in small groups. Students are encouraged to create and engage in dialogue with others and to explore new ideas and solutions for both traditional social issues and those created by Miss Scripps' prediction of that "technological change." On the athletic fields, on the stage, and in the art studio, we strive for excellence through hard work and a joyful pursuit of our passions. We are a community of learners. We understand that the commitment, dedication, and curiosity of each of our students has the potential to transform our School, our community, and our world. Above all, we want our students to understand that their approach with others, guided by kindness, fairness, and integrity, will enhance their understanding of the world and establish a foundation for relationships that will endure the test of time. We welcome you to the Bishop's community! While it may be true that a school is measured by what its graduates become, for The Bishop's School, it is the "becoming" part of this belief that has shaped the School's mission for 109 years. In addition to stimulating and challenging students academically, we believe that our role is to help young people learn to be morally discriminating and define ethical standards that will take them from adolescence to adulthood. We recognize that how we teach plays a crucial role in how well students assimilate information and how well they gain insight into how they will live their lives. Bishop's teachers are accomplished in their fields and bring a passion for teaching and young people, and our classes are remarkably small; most have 14-16 students. When students have spent their years at The Bishop's School, we trust that they will go forward, relying on their strengths and on the qualities that we have helped them develop while they were at Bishop's. The Bishop's School is an academic community pursuing intellectual, artistic, and athletic excellence in the context of the Episcopal tradition. We are dedicated to offering the highest quality education to a diverse student body and fostering integrity, imagination, moral responsibility, and commitment to serving the broader community. The Bishop's School promotes an inclusive and compassionate community of students, faculty, staff, administrators, parents, trustees, and alumni. We honor and embrace diverse identities such as age, culture, ethnicity, family structure, gender, gender identity, group affiliation, national origin, physical and mental ability, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status. Because diversity enriches the exchange of ideas, we foster a physically and emotionally safe environment where different experiences, thoughts, and opinions are respectfully expressed and respectfully heard. Such an environment allows every individual to thrive in and contribute to our global community. View full school

      7. Located in the beautiful Eastern Townships region of the province of Quebec, Bishop's is a unique English-language university that offers its students undergraduate university experience. Bishop's boasts some of the smallest class sizes in the country and passionate, supportive professors who genuinely care about their students' success. The result is that all BU students receive personalized attention and valuable support throughout their studies. Bishop connects its students to an array of outstanding learning opportunities, including internships and exceptional training experiences. These opportunities enable students to strengthen their skills and obtain valuable professional experience while working on completing their studies. Bishop creates a unique social environment for its students, one that fosters personal growth and development. This caring and supportive atmosphere nurtures students and helps transform them into confident and skilled leaders ready to make a difference in this world. These elements, when combined, form the essence and the soul of the Bishop's community. At Bishop's, we strive to be: A community that instills confidence, courage, and a sense of responsibility in its students. A place that nurtures personal and intellectual freedom and fosters enduring friendships. Bishop's University is a predominantly residential undergraduate university. Our primary concern is offering students a quality education in fine arts, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, business, and education. The residential aspect of our small size (2,400 full-time students) encourages students to immerse themselves in the complete Bishop's experience. Bishop's is located in the bilingual community of Lennoxville, a suburb of the city of Sherbrooke, Quebec, located about 1.5 hours southeast of Montreal. The Eastern Townships region offers a safe and welcoming atmosphere, exceptional outdoor recreational opportunities, and a high quality of life. Bishop's University's 550-acre campus features 25 buildings, including seven residences, two libraries, two theatres, outstanding classrooms, laboratories, athletic facilities, a sports and recreation center that includes three gyms, an indoor pool and an 800-seat arena, a historic chapel, a music recital hall, and a daycare. A duck pond and wildlife refuge, ten tennis courts, an outdoor pool, and a golf course are also found on the campus. Bishop's University was founded as Bishop's College in 1843, under the sponsorship of the Right Reverend G.J. Mountain, the Anglican Bishop of Quebec, with the assistance of a group of clergy and laypeople from the Eastern Townships. In 1853, the University received a Royal Charter granting it the right to confer degrees. Bishop's remained under the aegis of the Church of England until 1947 when the University's Corporation was reconstituted as a nondenominational body. Since this time, Bishop's University has welcomed students from all backgrounds, cultures, and creeds. Bishop's University boasts some of Canada's best university professors. Our 115 full-time faculty members are involved in extensive research and publishing endeavors. However, they have chosen to work at Bishop's because they love teaching and working with undergraduate students. We put great emphasis on personal contact between students and professors and favor small classes and frequent seminars, laboratories, and tutorials. View full university
