  1. Berkshire School is a co-ed boarding and day school for students in grades 9-12 and post-graduates. The 400-acre campus is located at the base of Mount Everett (2,624 ft.) in Sheffield, Massachusetts, in the heart of the Berkshire Hills, a popular tourist destination for world-renowned arts and culture, health and wellness retreats, and spectacular nature, including the Appalachian Trail, which is a short hike from campus. By design, every student makes an impact at Berkshire. No student is anonymous. Everyone knows everyone—from faculty and staff to new students and graduating seniors. Our 400 students' enrollment is a sweet spot for Berkshire's model and culture, allowing us to cultivate an exceptionally affirming and close-knit residential community. From the foundation of being known well, our students build confidence, which enables them to strive, take risks, and reimagine their potential in all areas of their development. Rooted in an inspiring natural setting, Berkshire School instills the highest character and citizenship standards and a commitment to academic, artistic, and athletic excellence. Our community fosters diversity, a dedication to environmental stewardship, and enduring love for learning. Students and families choose a Berkshire education for an exceptional academic experience that is authentic, relevant, and forward-thinking for a commitment to character development that is embedded in all aspects of student life for our strong college and university outcomes and because we intentionally prepare students for success. Students are encouraged to learn in the words of our School motto: Pro Vita Non-Pro Schola Discimus—"Learning, not just for school but for life." At the core of our work with young people is knowing them well. We take great pride in knowing each student and their journey from their first days on campus to their walk across the commencement stage. Our talented and dedicated faculty serve as teachers, coaches, and advisors, understanding students through each of these lenses and inspiring their curiosity, character, and commitment to reaching their full potential every day. Berkshire School strives to create a global community that reflects the world around us and the backgrounds, experiences, identities, genders, perspectives, races, religions, and talents that each member brings to our school. We believe that a diverse and inclusive community supports and respects all cultures, ethnicities, languages, philosophies, political views, and sexual orientations within and beyond our school. At Berkshire, there is no academic ceiling. The learning environment cultivates students' desire to challenge themselves, take risks, and reach new heights. Our curriculum allows students to explore an intellectual passion or nurture a new interest within our broad course offerings built upon this strong foundation. Our goal is to ensure that all students have a unique learning experience providing them with the opportunities to go beyond the classroom to expand their knowledge. At the heart of Berkshire's academic program is an exceptional college preparatory curriculum that fosters critical thinking, agile problem solving, collaboration, and curiosity across all disciplines. Its forward-thinking approach distinguishes our academic program through a curriculum designed to be relevant and dynamic, preparing students for an ever-changing global world. Berkshire's academic curriculum prepares students for college and beyond by offering a wide array of courses in Arts, Languages, History, Maths, Science, and English. Our college-prep curriculum is designed by Department Chairs and other academic leaders to advance our students intellectually and to help them become agile, independent thinkers. It is executed by a talented faculty that will continually challenge and inspire our students to become life long learners. Whether a student's passion is physics, philosophy, or the performing arts, the Berkshire curriculum helps them pursue that passion as far as they are willing. View full school

  3. Welcome to Reddam House Berkshire, we are delighted to introduce you to the flagship UK school of the successful Reddam House International group. Set in 125 acres of wood and parkland, housed in a magnificent mansion building we offer an unparalleled opportunity for your child to experience a fresh approach to education. Throughout the school, our emphasis is on independence we expect our students to work hard in the belief that success is in his or her own hands. From babies in our Early Learning School through to our Sixth Formers moving on to University, students are active participants in setting the direction of their educational journey, developing a love of learning, and being empowered with the self-discipline that provides the bedrock for success. Academics is just one area in which our students thrive. We offer your child abundant opportunities in which to participate, including academic and co-curricular activities. Rather than trying to 'find' their talents and interests, our students are encouraged to 'create' themselves and develop new competencies in preparation for a world that requires courage, resilience, and flexibility. But most of all, your child’s time at school should be happy. We believe that our vibrant learning environment comes from complementing the academic and co-curricular strengths with the three ‘Rs’ of pastoral care: relationships, respect, and responsibility. We are proud to be a school where each student is valued as a unique individual and receives carefully considered nurture, support, and advice at each stage of their school career. Whatever the age of your child, choosing a school is an important decision and requires time, thought, and consideration of the ‘feel’ of a school. The static pages of a website can only give a glimpse of our thriving community but are no substitute for seeing it in action yourself so please do come and meet us, we love welcoming visitors to the school. Early Learning School where the serious business of early education thrives in each of our dedicated classrooms and exceptional outdoor facilities. Learning here is based around a ‘rhythm of the day instead of a structured timetable caring, dedicated staff invites our youngest students to join in with a variety of activities that are designed to allow each child to reach the next step in their development. We believe that children are confident, capable learners from birth, and the education of our children is of utmost importance. Our facilities are designed to meet the specific needs of the particular age of the child, as well as offering a home-away-from-home, nurturing environment that ensures every child feels comfortable and happy whilst learning in all areas. Our teaching and learning environment values both achievement and momentum to succeed, supported by the broad curriculum and commitment to academic, creative, cultural, and sporting excellence. Our school reflects a vibrant and lively community, where children are given space, countless opportunities, and support to grow in confidence and to discover their talents. The teaching and learning environment values both achievement and momentum to succeed, supported by the broad curriculum and commitment to academic, creative, cultural, and sporting excellence.
