Founded in 1940 by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, Barry University's growth has been shaped by its core values throughout the years. Originally founded as Barry College for Women, Barry has grown into a coeducational university that is one of the leading centers for education in South Florida. Barry University's main campus comprises of 122 acres in Miami Shores, Florida. With the exceptions of the School of Professional And Career Education off-campus sites throughout 16 counties across Florida and the Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law located in Orlando, Barry comprises of 55 buildings, including the Cor Jesu Chapel, the R. Kirk Landon Student Union, the Shepard and Ruth K. Broad Center for Performing Arts, the Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library, and ten residence halls. With so many opportunities at your fingertips, we make it possible to find your passion. Whether you plan to study marine biology, business, education, nursing, or communication, you will find a stimulating environment and exchange ideas. At Barry, we also keep our class size small to allow faculty and student interaction and personal mentoring. We offer more than 50 graduate programs at Barry University at the master's, specialist, and doctoral degree levels. Although many of our programs are offered in Miami Shores, Florida, we also offer a Juris Doctor (JD) at the Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in Orlando, Florida, and education degrees the Bahamas. At the School of Professional And Career Education, graduate programs are offered at many locations throughout Florida for Barry's education. However, they cannot commute to the main campus. Ranging from Podiatric Medicine to an MBA, to Nursing, to Social Work, we offer many study fields to help you achieve your goals. Through our Physician Assistant (PA) program, a growing role in healthcare, you will graduate as a well-trained care provider. At our Adrian Dominican School of Education, you can choose from 15 different programs ranging from master's to doctoral degrees. If a dual degree or specialization is what you are looking for, we offer various options. While earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA), you could also earn a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Master of Science in Sport Management (MS).
