The Commission granted UB an Autonomous Status on Higher Education on March 11, 2009, the first non-sectarian University in CAR to be granted such. This makes UB among the select 42 private higher educational institutions granted an autonomous status out of 2,000 throughout the country. The UB School of Law employs methods and strategies that are intensive and all-encompassing. The University of Baguio (UB) School of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences (SLAHS) nurtures academic excellence. At the UB School of Nursing, students receive specialized training, complete with up-to-date facilities and equipment such as accurately simulated hospital setup.
