The School of Veterinary Medicine and the School of Life and Environmental Science provide education and training to our students to find the best way to allow humankind, animals, and the natural environment to coexist harmoniously. Furthermore, building on Azabu University's long tradition, many of our graduates are now embarked on thriving careers in places all over Japan. We take a great deal of pride in their success. The School of Life and Environmental Science's educational philosophy and goal are to develop the education and research necessary for nurturing a healthy existence from the standpoint of life science and environmental science. We cultivate capable people who are well-equipped to respond to environmental problems and challenges and highly specialized technical personnel who work for the maintenance and improvement of human health and safety and preserve our environment. In an era in which Japan's industries and social structure continue to diversify, and where further international cooperation and competition are demanded, graduates of graduate schools will become increasingly sought after in various occupations. Azabu University's two graduate schools, building upon the knowledge gained in the School of Veterinary Medicine and the School of Life and Environmental Science, focus on subjects of education and research such as Animal Life Science, Food Production, Environmental Science, Biotechnology and Advanced Medicine - precisely the advanced sciences of the 21st century needed to support our planet's future.
