The basic principle of Avans University of Applied Sciences is rooted in and springs from its social environment. To maintain and expand its value within its environment, Avans must continue to meet the labor market's changing demands and the world of work. Avans University of Applied Sciences was founded on 1 January 2004 following a Hogeschool Brabant and Hogeschool' s-Hertogenbosch. We make a sustainable difference. We train future-proof professionals ready to enter the workforce. Continuously develop new knowledge of education and society in partnership with companies, institutions, and government agencies. Our students and employees engage in multidisciplinary collaboration and come up with creative solutions that benefit society as a whole. At Avans University of Applied Sciences, around 29,500 students study 48 different courses. Two thousand eight hundred employees work at 20 schools, four support services units, and one center for learning and innovation. Our mission: the best, based on passion and commitment; we aim to develop talent by helping future graduates to become highly qualified professionals, who continuously develop themselves and their profession and who are aware of their social responsibility also from an international perspective. We aim to contribute to shaping and realizing social, cultural, and economic developments in the region by acting as a sustainable partner for regional companies, authorities, and organizations to develop, share, and generate knowledge and carry out practice-based research. We aim to be a socially innovative organization whose staff are committed to using their professional skills to help develop students, the profession, and the region to the best of their ability. To ensure that we are the best comprehensive university of applied sciences* in terms of quality, which prioritizes talent development, a knowledge partner for (regional) companies, authorities, and organizations, with a focus on contributing towards a sustainable society, a socially innovative organization, where successful processes are designed based on demand and the keyword is commitment.
