Aswan University branch was established in 1976 as a branch of Assuit University. In 2012 Aswan University was constructed as a governmental university by presidential decree no. 311 of 11th of June 2013, and it now included 15 faculties (faculties of arts, education, science, social work, engineering, energy engineering, veterinary medicine, agriculture, nursing, languages and translation, medicine, fisheries technology, commerce, specific education, and archaeology). It should be noted that the university's main campus is located in Sahara City, Airport Road, which occupies 400 acres, in addition to the new headquarters in Aswan Al-Gadeda that occupies 98.5 acres. Aswan university includes six headquarters and six university dorms in Aswan City. Our vision is to be one of the different governmental universities in education, culture, scientific research, and knowledge sources. It seeks to the estimation of its education, scientific research, creative activities, and public-serving. It also looks forward to achieving high-quality education from a global perspective. Goals: We are committed to providing high-quality education, continuing development, and acquiring society's confidence in our graduates who meet the international criteria. Promoting academic excellence and innovation by providing students and teaching staff with advanced academic programs. Upgrading teaching methods and establishing a modern database serving students, academic staff, and an administrative cadre. Investment in training academic cadre in using modern technology and methods. Investment in training the administrative cadre in using modern technology in management. Provide attractive and secure conditions and good preparation for cooperation with other educational institutions in education and scientific research. Providing a secure system for supporting students and offering them a variety of cultural and leadership opportunities. Setting up a website to facilitate communication. Developing a system for measuring and evaluating the shortcoming that will become a base for ongoing development. Promoting the Special Units to turn into consulting centers in serving the business community and income sources for supporting the university's sustainable development plans.
