We, at AAUC, are committed to supplying the hospitality and tourism sector with quality graduates equipped with the required knowledge, skills, and competencies needed for success through creating a student-centered environment that focuses on equality, respect for diversity, cultural understanding, intellectual growth, students' employability, networking with the sector, community service and faculty development. AAUC was established in 1980 as the Ammon College for Hospitality and Tourism and is still the most distinguished educational institution, both locally and regionally, for students of these disciplines. We offer both theoretical and practical courses for our students, with a commitment to high quality. As a result of this, the university enjoys a high profile amongst educational institutions in the Middle East. Our educational philosophy rests on practical oriented, English language oriented and attitude and discipline-oriented. The Hospitality and Tourism Industries, not only in Jordan but also internationally, offer graduates stimulating career opportunities. It is both our role and your responsibility to maximize your experience here with us. We pride ourselves on our commitment to you as a student in the classroom, work experience, and as a graduate of our institution. Each of us must play a significant role in promoting Hospitality and Tourism Cultures in Jordan within our society and for our regional and international tourists. AAUC is dedicated to providing a modern, high-quality education for students who intend to make Hospitality and Tourism Management their career. Our graduates are accepted into full-time employment in the industry of their choice. The students are of paramount importance at AAUC. Our courses are designed to enhance students' knowledge, skills, career, and marketability. Our students enjoy some of the best facilities in Jordan. Additionally, AAUC students graduate with lifelong friends, precious memories, and a sense of achievement that will empower them for the rest of their lives. AAUC enjoys the collaboration of its stakeholders, who are leaders in the Hospitality and Tourism Industries in Jordan; their support is vital to our success and excellence in this field. The stakeholders' support to AAUC, complemented by our international partnerships, recognition by the local and regional industries, and ability to change, ensure that we retain our reputation for excellence. We aim to be the model of education and learning in Tourism and Hospitality in this region, which will be imitated by other institutions, both internally and externally. Currently, AAUC has obtained the UNWTO TedQual Certification for the second time, in addition to the Tourism Excellence Award and Al Hassan Bin Talal Award for Scientific Excellence. AAUC is now a member of EURHODIP, UNWTO, ICHRIE, and the American Hospitality Academy (AHA). The lab contains 32 peripheral devices, one central computer, a data show, and an interactive smartboard. The laboratory contains an interactive board that enables students to interact between the terminals and the interactive board. AAUC has a modern English computer lab that contains 21 headset-equipped computers. Students use these computers to practice listening, pronunciation, and other skills that help develop English comprehension. Instructors incorporate online exercises and games to encourage students to use their English skills in various realistic situations. Students are also exposed to various types of multimedia. The computer lab introduces an interdisciplinary element to students' development of English language capabilities. The library was established along with the University College and is a specialized reference center for Hospitality and Tourism. The library's aim has always been to provide services not only to the University College campus (including both the students and the faculty staff) and other researchers in the fields of Hospitality and Tourism studies, with all the necessary materials they require. The library contains the latest, up-to-date material in Tourism, Events, and Hospitality studies. There are more than 9600 items, including books, DVDs, and reference materials in Arabic, English, French, German, and Italian. Additionally, the library subscribes to more than fifty periodicals in Arabic and other languages and the UNWTO "E-Library."All library materials are classified according to the Dewey decimal classification system. The circulation system uses WINISIS software in both Arabic and English. Cataloging procedures comply with the Library of Congress Subject Headings and the Anglo - American Cataloguing Rules. Additionally, authorized users of the library can access the World Tourism Organization's international database. The Internet is also available through dedicated computer terminals in the library, and some items may be borrowed by authorized users reference books and periodicals are not available for borrowing. All students and staff can use the library, and individual memberships can be arranged for members of the community interested in utilizing the library services. Since its inception, AAUC has dedicated itself, through its training center, to the development of a wide variety of specialized training programs to fulfill the training needs of operators, employers, and interested groups within the fields of Hospitality and Tourism, inside and outside Jordan, by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to enhance their employability skills. What distinguishes our training programs are the combination of theory and practice and the customization of special training programs to meet each client's specific needs.
