AAU Started providing academic services in 1990, Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) was the first private University and pioneer of private education in Jordan. AAU has been accorded institutional and programmatic accreditation. It is a member of the International Association of Universities, Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World, Union of Arab Universities, and Association of Arab Private Institutions of Higher Education. AAU always seeks distinction by upgrading learning outcomes by adopting methods and strategies that depend on quality control and effective follow-up at all its faculties, departments, centers, and administrative units. The overall aim is to become a flagship university at the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab World level. In this vein, AAU has adopted Information Technology as an essential ingredient in its activities, especially e-learning. It has incorporated it in its educational processes in all fields of specialization to become the first such University. Al-Ahliyya Amman University is committed to develop and apply the "Quality Assurance Standards in Higher Education Institutions" and to follow any other adopted quality standards by investing human and physical energies to produce an academically and morally outstanding generation who can deal with the requirements of the time and keep up with the new developments efficiently and effectively. This act aims to meet students' needs and enable the University to play its role in promoting academic research, community services, and depicting Jordan as a distinctive educational destination at the regional level. Excellence in providing teaching, learning, and academic research with a high quality of international standards to enhance the status of Al-Ahliyya Amman University as the first private University in Jordan and the Arab world, and to make it a preferred choice to students and researchers. This can be achieved by providing an academic environment that seeks excellence and by preparing qualified human cadres specialized in various fields of knowledge to meet society's needs and the requirements of sustainable development. Higher education is presently witnessing several developments that necessitate a thorough reconsideration of the status quo. Such developments deem it imperative to exert more efforts to identify current challenges. Higher education needs to respond well to the dictates of this stage in two ways: keeping abreast of academic and technological developments and adapting academic programs to the ever-changing market demands without losing sight of providing an environment where students undergo personal growth that generates in them a spirit of responsibility and genuine belonging to their nation. In this new setting, students should be able to keep up with information relating to their fields of specialization to meet their communities' current and future needs, with their eyes firmly fixed on realizing national economic and social goals and competing at the regional and international levels. The strategic plan of the University has been prepared in compliance with the directives of the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Academic Research. The Committee entrusted with writing the plan comprises three teams: an Administrative Team, an Executive Team, and a Consultative Team. The plan has been thoroughly and objectively discussed top-down as a final point of reference, taking into account the directives of the Jordan Ministry of Higher Education and Academic Research, the final arbiter at the national level. The University faculties make every effort to offer academic programs geared towards meeting the local and international market's needs by bridging the gap between skills deemed essential by the employers and the university programs. The training and self-learning that the students experience at the University ideally prepare them as graduates to join the workforce without any need for further training or orientation, making Al-Ahliyya Amman University graduates more competitive. To emphasize this feature, the University continuously initiates new programs of study at graduate and undergraduate levels. Creating a unique and progressive environment to become a leading Arab university by promoting excellence in teaching and learning, motivating scientific research, and keeping pace with the developments and updates to enhance the University standing locally and regionally, maintaining a high-quality output relevant to labor market needs and strengthening sustainable partnerships with society at large.
