Founded in 1746, Linden Hall is the oldest independent boarding and day school for girls' continuous operation in the United States. With a diverse student body representing 32 countries and 14 states, Linden Hall nurtures curious and creative thinkers, fosters leadership, and empowers girls to excel. Linden Hall is dedicated to providing multiple curricular sophistication levels to ensure that each student is challenged by a course of study that is individualized just for her. Middle School and Upper School students are taught by the finest department faculty, who guide and prepare students for life at a four-year college and beyond.
Linden Hall offers enriching coursework and opportunities for advanced study. We strike a balance between academic excellence and a supportive community, encouraging girls to thrive and grow in bold ways as they prepare for college and life.
Every Linden Hall classroom is equipped with SMART Board interactive whiteboard technology. Linden Hall supports parents' and students' individual choice of technology tools with its Bring Your Device Program. Allowing students to choose their own devices increases involvement, fluency of use, and responsibility toward technology. Technology plays a role in every course at Linden Hall. Additionally, if a student wishes to take a class that is not in our Course of Study, we have online courses available to her through One Schoolhouse.

We offer opportunities for girls to explore many different careers as they seek their path. Students are exposed to internship opportunities, exploratory extracurricular activities, and a diverse range of career possibilities through Linden Hall's alumni network, parents, and friends. They are encouraged to stretch past their preconceived capabilities rather than being steered toward safe goals.
