Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi is a bilingual mixed comprehensive for 11-18-year-olds with an annual intake of approximately 90 pupils and the Sixth Form of about 120. It was established in1898, with the original school building still in use alongside many new buildings. The school serves a wide catchment area and is designated a naturally bilingual school, where pupils are taught through both the medium of Welsh and English. The school aims to develop all pupils to their full potential, academically, spiritually, physically, and socially. We pride ourselves on the fact that we create a caring atmosphere and ethos, where all pupils are treated equally and with respect. The school offers a wide variety of subjects, and very good external examination results are achieved. Great emphasis is placed on extra-curricular activities, and our pupils are given a host of opportunities to demonstrate and develop their skills. A wide range of activities and educational visits, both at home and abroad, provide rich and varied additions to the formal curriculum.
