We are very much looking forward to the new term and working in collaboration with students. Central to our working ethos is the success of every student in the school and for us, this means a high-quality learning experience in every classroom and excellent behavior at all times.
Our collaborative practice continues to be key to the school’s development and our work within the local community.
The school recognizes the importance of providing a needs-led, personalized curriculum for all our students. The school has addressed secondary curriculum changes and determined that lessons should seek to emphasize the development of Personal, Learning, Thinking, and Enterprise Skills (PLTES) and Functional Skills at all possible opportunities.
Students in Key Stage 3, Years 7 and 8, follow the National Curriculum, working in either set or mixed ability groups.
From September 2017, Year 9 students will follow a three-year Key Stage 4 course leading to GCSE examinations, or alternative accreditation, including BTEC, GNVQ, and NVQ courses.
Woodside High School also offers a work experience placement for all those in Key Stage 4 to help prepare them for life beyond school and to aid in their prospective career choices.
A Healthy School is one that actively seeks to promote and improve the health and well-being of the whole school community. We are delighted to have received the Silver Healthy Schools Award and are well on our way to achieving Gold.

The school has also been awarded the International Schools Awards (ISA) for its work in embracing the curriculum from different countries. We are also a member of the Global Learning Programme (GLP) and the Oxfam World Shapers Programme.

Young people are growing up in an increasingly globalized society. Scientific and technological developments are constantly transforming our capacity to communicate across the world. We use the internet, television screens to follow events as they happen, be they natural disasters or business, political and sporting events. Similarly, we can communicate instantly by e-mail, social networking, or mobile phone across the world.
Our school community reflects the cultural diversity of Haringey and has always focussed on the international dimension across the curriculum. Students are provided with opportunities to participate in a range of activities and our extensive experience resulted in the school achieving an International Schools Award.
