Children enter the nursery and leave at the end of Year 6 when they transfer to secondary school. The school also incorporates the Vauxhall Children Centre, this facility offers a range of services that support families through child care, adult learning, parenting programs, and helping bring a range of service providers (health, social care, employment) into the community. The school serves a range of pupils that represent the diversity of the local area. The school has an experienced staff that shares considerable ambition for the institution. The school is well regarded by a loyal parent body that has helped shape the priorities and direction that it has taken recently.
We take full advantage of our high-quality partnerships to enrich and enhance our pupils’ experience of school. This may be performance opportunities as one of the few associate schools of the Southbank Centre, mathematics master classes at the Royal Institution, engaging in robotics with the Royal College of Engineers, or collaboration with other schools in the Wyvern Federation. Our pupils take pride in our sporting excellence, having won accolades in netball, football, tri-golf, tennis, athletics, and many more.
We are a National Support School and a recognized Teaching School. Such status enables us to share best practices with colleagues all over the country, and also for our staff to learn from them. We are a highly innovative school, and we value collaboration at all levels.
