Tidemill Academy is a successful, innovative, and happy community school in Deptford, South East London. We are a two-form entry primary school with a Nursery. Additionally, we have a Speech and Language Resource Base which serves children from across Lewisham with specific language impairment as a primary need. With the inclusion of our Nursery, we have the capacity for approximately 480 children. We have over 40 languages spoken in the school and our children come from a rich variety of backgrounds. Our pupils are well behaved, eager to learn, and are supported by a team of talented and dedicated staff.
With a wonderful new school building and state-of-the-art facilities we are well-positioned to equip our pupils with the skills, knowledge, and experiences to be successful, responsible citizens in the 21st century.

The Curriculum at Tidemill Academy starts with the basic skills involved in reading, writing, and calculation. As these skills are established, pupils are given opportunities to rehearse and embed these skills throughout the curriculum. Pupils are challenged not only to develop their understanding but to master it. Our pupils can talk about their learning journey, describe how different subjects deepen their understanding, and identify the next steps in the learning process.
Experiences and resources are chosen for pupils because they inspire and motivate learning. Our curriculum is tailor-made to suit the needs of individual pupils. As a result, our curriculum inspires a flexible, self-motivated, and independent learner-a learner that never stops learning.
