These outcomes are interwoven into our explicit and implicit curriculum. How these outcomes are met is discussed at the staff and governor level. The school was awarded the London Healthy Schools Bronze Award in July 2014.

we have put in place a monthly cycle which covers a wide range of values and qualities that we believe our pupils will need to demonstrate and possess to participate fully in our society.
Each month a display is created to celebrate and educate about the value or quality and this is led, on rotation, by different year groups.
Literacy is a means of communication, be it verbal, written, or read. Literacy connects all areas of learning and therefore needs to be taught and modeled from an early age. Scaffolding needs to be given explicitly to enable children to develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding to communicate effectively in a variety of experiences, both now and the future. The Stonebridge School endeavors to help children enjoy and appreciate literacy and its rich variety.
At Stonebridge School, we aim to enhance the pupil’s confidence and competence in understanding the world in which they live. We aim to stimulate a child’s curiosity in finding out why things happen in the way they do and to nurture positive attitudes toward science, through teaching scientific methods of inquiry and investigations. We aim to develop the ability to ask scientific questions and begin to formulate the pupils' ideas and explanations.
