St Andrew's is a one-form entry voluntary aided C of E school for children aged 4-11 in the London Borough of Barnet and the Diocese of St Albans. The school is sited adjacent to Totteridge common and in the heart of residential housing. As a church school, we have very close links with St. Andrew’s Church. This is just a short walk from the School. The Vicar takes Assembly at School once a week. We are a happy, ambitious, and inclusive school reflecting the rich diversity of families who live in our area. Christian and British values underpin everything we do to ensure that children are safe, happy and treat each other with respect and care.
At St Andrew’s we offer children a balanced education in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. We recognize that each child is an individual and will bring their own special experiences when they start school. Working closely with parents we seek to Identify and nurture yo child’s full potential.
As a Christian school, we consider values to be very important. Each month we focus on one value that we expect the children to adopt and maintain during their time at our school. As a Church of England school, worship Is very important to Our ethos. We like to start each morning with worship, either in the hail as a whole school, at church (once a half-term), or in our classrooms. Our worship follows the Christian tradition and Is taken by the vicar once per week. Parents are entitled to withdraw their children from acts of worship if they request this In witting.
Our daily act of worship is central to the life of our school. In sharing and understanding God's love and the Christian principles which flow from it, we learn to respect the uniqueness of each one of us. We enjoy close links with our parish church, St Andrew's Totteridge, and we worship there several times a year, with the children taking an active role in each service.
The school is situated in the beautiful setting of Totteridge Common and we benefit from playing on the Green. We value a close relationship with our families and believe our children can only do their best when they feel happy and secure at school. Our staff are multi-skilled and friendly and are committed to developing our pupil's full potential in all aspects of school life. By working together we seek to build upon our pupil's zest for life, enabling them to grow into keen independent learners who can approach their secondary education with confidence.

We also aim to help pupils understand the role of British values in society. These values of Democracy, Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, and Respect, and Tolerance of those with different faiths are taught overtly through our curriculum and across all other aspects of school life.
