Parklands Junior School is a four-form entry school situated in the London Borough of Havering. Parklands Junior School offers a range of before and after school clubs and we are extremely proud of our children’s achievements in a wide range of sporting and musical activities.

We aim to instill a desire for constant improvement amongst ourselves, teachers and children and deliver inspired teaching that encourages positive attitudes towards lifelong learning.

We aim that children leave Parklands Junior School with a clear sense of responsibility and independence and an understanding of the importance of community and how their behavior impacts others.

Parklands Junior values each member of the school and aims to develop every person’s potential, striving to remove barriers to learning and embracing diversity. We aim to ensure that everyone can participate fully in school life, making reasonable adjustments wherever possible to accommodate all members of the school community. The school aims to encourage positive attitudes towards diversity among staff and pupils to ensure that everyone is treated equally and can achieve their best.
At Parklands Junior School we are clear that we have a responsibility to prepare children for life in modern Britain. We ensure that the fundamental British Values are introduced, discussed, and celebrated throughout the school. The Government set out its definition of British values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy, and these values have been reiterated annually and shared with all school staff. At Parklands Junior School, these values are reinforced regularly and in several ways.
Several curriculum areas enable us to further the understanding of these concepts including SMSC, RE, and PSHE. These subjects provide opportunities to deepen and develop pupils’ understanding and embrace these concepts with enthusiasm. They are then able to demonstrate a good understanding of how these values can be applied to their own lives.
