Llanpumsaint School stands in the heart of the beautiful village of Llanpumsaint. The school is surrounded by the wonders of nature which is a means of enriching the pupils’ education and experiences. The school endeavors to nurture the feeling of belonging to a community by participating in events held in the village.
At present, there are 32 pupils on the register. The school is classed as a ‘Category A’ school which means that Welsh is the main medium of the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 (KS1), thus ensuring a sound foundation in the language. In Key Stage 2 (KS2), there is a strong element of bilingualism in the teaching. The school aims to ensure that every pupil is comfortable, happy, and confident in the language in which he/she is taught. This bilingual policy aims to teach children to be bilingual by the time they leave primary school.
The school aims to teach all its pupils to the best of their ability by ensuring that the education offered meets the individual needs of everyone.
