Larkswood Primary Academy converted to academy status in February 2015, when Larkswood Primary Academy was established as the founding member of the Lime Trust.

Larkswood has places for 800 children between the age of two and eleven. We are a multi-cultural school with over 20 nationalities represented. Our ethos is clear-we put children first, we always look for ways to be brilliant, and are values-led, believing in displaying: courage, partnership, equality, enjoyment, trust, and excellence in all we do.
Our curriculum is broad, balanced, and motivational, encouraging all pupils to become independent thinkers and learners. We place vital importance on life-long learning, aiming to prepare our pupils for the future workplace and to become global citizens. Our pupils’ behavior is exemplary, they are proud of their learning and their school. Their efforts and successes are constantly celebrated. Larkswood pupils, at the end of Key Stage 2, achieved in line with the national average in 2017, and our younger pupils are achieving above the national average at the end of Early Years and Year 1.
The school was inspected by OFSTED on 23rd January 2018 and it deemed that we continue to be a good school. We are very proud of this achievement especially as the lead inspector particularly commented on the fact that the leadership team has maintained a good quality of education in the school since the last inspection, setting high expectations for what pupils can achieve.

Our policies and procedures along with daily systems and structures reflect our strong ethos of no harm to others. Larkswood Primary Academy is proud to work in partnership with families and the local community and we were awarded the Leading Parent Partnership Award in 2015. Families enthusiastically support our events, activities, and productions. It is important to us that parents feel part of all aspects of school life and are aware of what their child is learning.
