Heathrow Aviation Engineering UTC offers students aged 14-19 the opportunity to study highly regarded, full-time, technically oriented courses with an emphasis on aviation engineering, maths, and science.
Responding to growing demands from the aviation industry for well-educated, high-caliber, professional engineers and technicians, the UTC combines hands-on and minds-on approaches to learning, integrating national curriculum requirements with technical and practical elements.
The UTC is supported by Brunel University London and a range of local and global employers, such as Royal Air Force Northolt, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and more. Students get the chance to work on practical projects with these employers, designed to help them develop the skills needed for careers within the engineering sector. This unique approach offers high-quality, rounded, technical education that will provide students with the best opportunity to take up jobs, apprenticeships, and degrees.

Our curriculum has been developed with employer partners to ensure our students leave the UTC work-ready and equipped with the qualifications needed within the local and wider economy. Students take part in real-world projects as well as having opportunities for work placements and apprenticeships. To make sure we offer qualifications at the right level, students are streamed according to ability into either craft, technical or professional routes, which they study alongside core academic GCSEs and A-levels. Students also have the opportunity to take part in a range of enrichment activities.
