All staff was involved in the introduction of a new whole-school approach to behavior. A training day was attended by teaching and non-teaching staff to discuss the areas that needed attention and to agree on solutions that would be positive and beneficial to all persons involved.
The Health and Safety of all members of the school community is paramount and we would not, knowingly, put any member of it at risk. We will do our utmost to provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for all who work in it.
In all aspects of school life, including the delivery of the curriculum, we are mindful of the need to consider Health and Safety implications and, to that end, risk assessments are carried out to help us provide an environment that is as clean, well maintained and as safe and secure as we can make it.
The allocation of duties for safety matters and the arrangements which we will make to implement this policy are contained in this document. Any hazards or potentially dangerous situations must be reported to the Headteacher immediately.
Be reminded of which rule we are not following. Be moved (to help calm down)- ( ‘GREEN for GOOD’ procedure – moves my name card on the wall display to whichever behavior category is considered appropriate at that particular time. If in the AMBER zone at the end of the session we will stay behind to talk to the teacher about my behavior. If in the RED section at the end of the session we will spend ‘time out’ during playtime to consider my actions. If we have three ‘RED sessions during the same day we will be given a yellow ticket.
My parents/carers will be asked to bring me to school to discuss strategies for improvement, such as a home/school report book. If the children continue to misbehave in playtimes they will be put onto an interactive behavior program to promote positive forms of behavior.
