Darul Uloom London was established in 1988 and is situated in Chislehurst, London. The surroundings are very attractive and peaceful and the school is easily accessible from all directions.

The Islamic ethos of the school is of the utmost importance. To promote the Islamic ethos, Darul Uloom School places a strong emphasis on Islamic manners, behavior, punctuality, Islamic dress code, mutual respect for fellow pupils, and utmost respect for staff and parents. Darul Uloom School provides higher Islamic education alongside secular education.

We hope that our students will become imams and religious leaders in the future, serving the Muslim community in the UK, and making a positive contribution towards social cohesion in our multi-cultural society.

We hope that, by providing high-quality Islamic and Secular Curriculum education for the Muslim community, by the Noble Qur’an and Sunnah of our Beloved Prophet (saw), we will ultimately produce students who practice Islam and serve the Deen of Allah. Our purpose is to produce great scholars and Huffaz to preserve and transmit the eternal message of Allah.

The institution helps children to explore and develop their Islamic identity as a natural part of their mental, emotional, and personal development. The school aims to prepare Muslim students to be good Muslims and responsible citizens to embed in the student a sense of discipline to enable them to grow up to become upright, respectable, and worthy citizens of their respective countries.

The school is a purpose-built hostel constructed in 1974. Its premises comprises 130 modern boarding rooms in addition to classrooms, dining hall, assembly hall, prayer hall, playing fields and 2 car parks with over 70 spaces. The total area of the building is 10 acres. All the 130 modern rooms have standard facilities including cupboards and drawers, full carpeting, beds, and mattresses. Each room is generally shared by two or three boys.

    Ethos Statement:

    • Children and young people are part of our community, entrusted upon us by Allah. It is, therefore, our duty, our responsibility, and our privilege to nurture them in learning moral values and in obedience to Allah.
    • We aim to educate our children to participate effectively and constructively within society from within a spiritual, Quranic, and Prophetic perspective through the means of example, dialogue, and positive communication

At Darul Uloom London, we are committed to working with parents to secure the best educational outcomes and understand the individual needs of every child. This means that children, parents, and teachers can have their say, be heard appropriately, and have clear and efficient communications which are respectful to all parties. Our support staff will pass this message onto the relevant member of staff. We ask that you phone to request appointments to meet with staff and do not turn up without one, to avoid disappointment.

During the school day, we want teachers to prioritize teaching and learning and pastoral care. They may not, therefore, be available to respond to messages or emails immediately. We aim to respond to your phone call or email within 48 hours. If the query is complex then a holding phone call or email will be used within 48 hours, so that we can provide a full response.
