Our pupils enjoy their time at school and the learning that takes place. We offer an exciting curriculum that provides pupils with memorable experiences that stimulate their interest and enrich the learning. We have high expectations for all our pupils and the education we provide ensures that they achieve academic excellence. There is a strong focus on the vital skills of reading, writing, and mathematics, alongside the other areas of the curriculum.

We are proud to serve a diverse, multi-cultural, and multi-faith community. Our pupils learn to embrace each other regardless of any differences. Pupils are empowered through developing their self-confidence, resilience, and life skills. We place a great deal of emphasis on each pupil’s overall growth so that they can make a positive contribution to society. “One of the proudest moments each year is when we say goodbye to the Year 6 pupils at the end of the summer term, knowing that they are fully prepared for the next stage of their learning journey.”

At Dairy Meadow Primary School we embrace the fact that every child is unique. We are an inclusive school and encourage all children to be tolerant and understanding of the varying needs of others. We take an inclusive approach to teach pupils with SEND and provide for pupils with a wide range of needs and disabilities. Skilled teaching staff, delivering high-quality learning experiences that are appropriately differentiated and personalized, meet the needs of the majority of the pupils in our school. A minority of pupils require an additional special educational provision to meet their needs.

The physical education (PE) and sport premium is additional funding provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport and goes directly to primary schools to spend on improving the quality of PE and sport for all children.

At Dairy Meadow Primary & Nursery School we promote the fundamental British values of:

    • Democracy
    • The rule of law
    • Individual liberty
    • Mutual respect
    • Tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
