We are a happy friendly school with a caring and nurturing ethos. Pregnant Primary School is situated in the village of Crynant in the Dulais Valley, approximately six miles from Neath in a predominantly rural setting. The school is English speaking and caters to the needs of pupils from three to eleven years of age.
Through careful organization, the school attempts to give the children what is best in education. In all our activities we try to work as a family, where members have a sense of purpose, a sense of belonging, and a feeling of being responsible to the school and the community.
We aim to provide activities and experiences each day that are balanced, varied, and suitable to the child’s ability and development. These experiments will help each child to learn and to become self-reliant and responsible members of the community.
We aim to create a happy, caring environment with an emphasis on making learning fun, where positive relationships are seen as being vital to our success in enabling pupils to achieve the best they possibly can. In Creunant we aim to develop learners who:
