We have worked hard over the last 15 years to create a warm, caring, and nurturing school environment which replicates the safety and security children have at home. This has become well known as 'The Chad Vale Way' and everybody involved with our school becomes part of 'The Chad Vale Family'. Within school, we have extremely high expectations for learning and behavior and we focus on ensuring that children achieve the very best that they can.
Alongside the national curriculum, we provide a rich and varied learning program that prepares children very well for life in secondary school and later life. We teach the children about life skills, equality, and diversity and give many opportunities for lifetime memories including a range of off-site visits and longer residential experiences. We instill a set of core values of kindness, understanding, tolerance, and a motivation to learn that are remembered long after the children have left.

A high-quality physical education curriculum inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically demanding activities. It should provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way that supports their health and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect. We are very proud of our high-quality in-school and after-school sports and games provision and are one of the few primary schools in Birmingham to have gained the School Games Gold Award two years in a row.
Religious Education at Chad Vale follows the Birmingham Agreed Syllabus for RE and is designed to promote children's spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development. By teaching the children about Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Judaism, and Buddhism through taught sessions and educational visits and by holding a daily act of collective worship.
The learning in RE is supported by many other aspects of life at Chad Vale and is further developed within PSHE, PATHS, and Dorothy.com lessons, alongside the family ethos of the school, the ‘Chad Vale Way’, our Behaviour and Achievements Policy, and Golden Rules and our commitment to the teaching of equality and diversity through ‘The School Code’ and the 'Educate & Celebrate' materials.
