BPA is an academy that is child-centered and passionate about providing access to a balanced curriculum for all pupils. Our mission is to give all pupils opportunities to excel in the academic subjects and the Arts, PE, and ICT.
At BPA we aim to provide both quality and inspirational teaching. We believe that learning should be fun and we strive to motivate all pupils to excel in academic subjects, the arts, and sports. We are a diverse academy representing many ethnic groups. We are an academy that celebrates achievement, hard work, and good times together.
At BPA we are committed to ensuring equality in education and opportunity for all pupils, staff, parents, and carers receiving services from the Academy, irrespective of race, gender, disability, faith/religion, or socio-economic background. We aim to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which all those connected to the Academy feel proud of their identity and can participate fully in school life.
The achievements of pupils are monitored by race, gender, and disability and we will use this data to support pupils, raise standards and ensure inclusive teaching. We will tackle discrimination by the positive promotion of equality, challenging bullying and stereotypes, and creating an environment that champions respect for all.
At Brentside Primary Academy, parents have the option to either prepare a packed lunch for their child or for their child to have a hot school meal. School meals are provided by the school’s catering company, Harrison’s Catering, for £2.30 per day, unless your child is entitled to free school meals (see below). Harrison’s is dedicated to providing top-quality meals with at least 90% fresh ingredients, and all food is prepared on-site.
Brentside Primary Academy has a wide variety of sports and activities for the children to take part in. The Academy has a large amount of equipment and resources for these activities. Brentside Primary also competes against other primary schools in sporting activities matches are arranged by the PE Coordinator. The Academy has a 10-seater minibus to transport children to sporting matches and tournaments.
Brentside Primary Academy is a creative school with DT & Art taking place regularly. We have a specialist Art teacher that holds arts clubs and special master classes for gifted pupils.
