Welcome to the Beckford Primary School website. At Beckford our motto is Together, we achieve. The children at Beckford exemplify our school motto they show time and again that they care for and support each other. Walk around our school any time, any day, and you will see children and adults actively engaged in learning. We count it as a privilege to be able to educate such wonderful young people and hope.

We are very proud of all our children’s achievements and in particular the good progress they make while at Beckford school. Last year's KS2 results showed that our children made above average progress in Reading, Writing, and Maths in their learning journey from Y2 to Y6.
Our children achieve very well in the core subjects, however, as a school, we also make sure that we celebrate achievements in all areas. This may be great progress in PE, an exceptional piece of artwork, developing a real talent for music, or learning to care for others.
At Beckford, we use the Jenny Mosley* model of Golden Rules and Circle Time as a whole school approach to enhance self-esteem and positive behavior and relationships within the school and beyond. All of the children and adults are involved and we hope that families too adopt the same approach.
The Golden Rules are the key to the whole approach. They outline behaviors that show respect and caring towards one another and represent a moral code covering respect for myself, respect for others, and respect for property. The Golden Rules are displayed in classrooms, corridors, and throughout the school. We are committed to providing significant opportunities for pupils to master basic skills in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics from an early age. Our curriculum is drawn from the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum.
